It does. but its not as bad as it looks , and its still complete so can make up templates before it disappears in front of the sandblaster

I get my seat covers off begay, theirs a seller on their that sells good quality covers but not cheap, ive had a few off them but at £45 a time.  just as good as OEM i think.

Last cover I had done, not a standard seat was £95 and that was about 8+ years ago and I was not happy with the end result.

I did order one off the bay for the standard seat on the gsx1157et and apart from my bad fitting was very happy with it (may be the same seller as yours) as the was £45 but well worth the money.

Im sure ive seen those seat covers on the bay as well. one price for all by the looks of it , il strip the seat at the weekend and see what the foam is like . If its ok il order a cover and i need to sort the seat base out , there is some brackets to make up as there missing off the seat and the mounts on the L frame are on the other side . . Thank you both for your info :tu

I've used a few sets of Chinese rearsets. They are generally ok though some of the bolts are a bit rubbish but easily replaced.

Picked up a pair of side panels complete with badges. Took the swingarm back off to fit the chain slider , had to trim it back 7 mm to match the tophat also the jack up block on the chain side needed a bit of work to line up. 2mm off the bottom and round the edges a bit now its lined up fine IMG_20230502_132810_943.thumb.jpg.5d98ca307cac5bf6f7913e6f8abb2289.jpgIMG_20230502_133854_818.thumb.jpg.21d0f93ea60cfb5a21a9731c0c16f7ce.jpgIMG_20230502_131835_240.thumb.jpg.025611470d79b683289b64c66e362a1d.jpgIMG_20230502_131934_195.thumb.jpg.165b77570c93916a4e53b612fb12e095.jpgIMG_20230502_132046_426.thumb.jpg.d814dc8d15f112e2378bd563d3a84b67.jpgIMG_20230502_132227_290.thumb.jpg.48a286d21d0a1bacf927858097f3f9f9.jpg

Thanks for the updates redgs1000. I’m enjoying watching the build.

Im running lift blocks on one of my borderline OSS bikes.

Have’nt tried different shocks yet, they took a little getting used to. Going from a 190/50 to a 200/50 or 190/55 wasn’t enough lift, adding the blocks with a taller tyre was too much so now I’m on blocks and back to a 190/50.

Internet experts tell me to just get the right length shocks…. LOL.

Hi tony . Did you have to modify the blocks to fit ? mine were machined well but as you can see the profile doesn't match the original mounts, if you bought the correct length shocks that would take all the fun out :tu. Took the wheels off today for powder coating along with the headlight brackets i cut down , also top yoke is getting a few mm off as not much thread for the stem nut/washer , will put some more pics up soon once ive got bit more done . Thanks for your encouragement on my project (y)
