  1. Thanks mate. After the show going to strip the tank and see how bad it is , unless something better turns up il have to get on with it , hoping to have it painted next 4-6 weeks
  2. Got the tail piece fitted and made some brackets for the seat. Once I've sorted the tank or find another one il get it all painted , will be taking it to the Scottish bike show as a ongoing project
  3. Here's the forks off my GS1000L. 37mm diameter. 800mm long from spindle to top. 480mm top of leg to top of stanction
  4. Ive got the front end off a GS1000L . Leading axle forks same as the 1100et can measure the length if you want
  5. Picked a seat up on Eblag. Going to give it a quick tidy up for now then source a new cover later, will have to cut the tail unit to suit the seat or buy another
  6. Refurb linkage back on now
  7. Looked for a Harris before getting the delkvic. They were to far gone or to much money, the delkvic looks like the old alfa1 or the piper exhausts back in the day.
  8. As far as I know they were made under licence but quality was bit hit and miss. Still would have bought one tho even it meant spending time to make it fit
  9. Tail piece sanded and hope to have it painted before the bike show. Brakes are all bled now and put a new joint on the gear linkage ,found one that bolts on so ground the old one off, gave the rear caliper carrier a quick polish also
  10. Finally got a 530 chain on. Just rubbing the frame in two places that only needed the original welds cleaned up for clearance. The 180 rear tyre was just to wide as the chain was getting moved sideways , put a 170 on and that's now given a decent clearance.
  11. Il bring the gs don't know if it will be painted tho as the tank needs more work than I thought
  12. Got the foot rests lined up straight after bit of work with the dremel. Then put two small ball bearings in to keep them in place plus a bit grease, try and get a bit more done over xmas. Plus the tank I've got is looking ropey so that's going to take some time up, unless I can find a decent one
  13. Another hour lost trying to get pics off that fucking phone
  14. Test fitted the foot rests and plates and all looks ok. Just need to realign the foot pegs and might have to get a longer pipe for the brake reservoir , but it will fit on the original bracket
  15. I would check the valve clearances as they might have tighten'd up on no3 if your getting fuel spitting back . As above if you've tried easy start and you've got a spark there is no reason it shouldn't run ,
  16. Trying to tidy up the plates with the dewalt cnc machine before they get a polish.
  17. Will need to get the dremel out to cut new slots. Then the foot pegs will line up hopefully
  18. Here is the last of the pics off the old phone when was mocking up the foot pegs.
  19. Still cant work this fucking phone. Will try put other pics up later away to calm down before another phone ends up in the bin
  20. Haven't posted any pics lately as got a new phone and cant work the f--king thing. Got the plates cut out roughly and mounted now need to try put a bit of a shape to them and a polish, the foot peg holes will need reshaped so the pegs will line up straight
  21. Picked up some alloy plate for the footrest brackets bit heavy but least it wont flex . Got a bit polish on the footrests before cutting out the brackets
  22. Exhaust now on after making a support bracket. Bit heavy but will do for now before a full strip down, the no4 front pipe went on fine after the exhaust was bolted up
  23. Did you adjust the fuel screws . mine are 2 turns out bike starts revs and idle's fine
  24. Got the exhaust on to see how it fits. Apart from having to twist the back round so the bracket clears the wider swingarm it looks ok Ive left the no4 front pipe loose as was pulling the collector on to the frame, centre stand is off now so il mount a bracket from there once thats done no4 pipe will be persuaded to go in
