  1. There's some good stuff in there just had a proper look at it while I'm on my tea break.
  2. Spent the day a Cadwell watching some quality Suzuki's doing there stuff on track, saw a few RGV's which has kicked me up the backside to get this thing back together. Carbs off and ready to be stripped down, quick phone call to my friendly carb spare supplier to check their stock just in case I need more parts than I planned for. Will stick them in the fizzy bath at the weekend then see whats worn and what isn't.
  3. Quick blast before nights to test the indicators work and don't fall to bits like the last ones did, all good apart from a near miss with a lunatic in a black beemer who missed the sliproad and decided it was a good idea to stop dead then reverse backwards until he was able to exit...... it all happened so fast I couldn't believe what I'd seen, too fast to get his number sadly but survived to tell the tale
  4. PM me if you don't get the info you need
  5. Happy to do it but away until Friday will keep my eye on the post in case no else can help before then
  6. Out for a quick spin and got caught in the only rain within 50 miles....typical no wet weather gear either. Got home and the sun came back out almost laughing at me..... Spent another hour cleaning the crap off and found the wheel sealant I used is ace just wiped the wheels with a cloth and they were clean again, quick polish and photo then back into the shed, off to the pub now for a pint or two might even take the wife
  7. Retinted the headlight cover and refitted.
  8. Popped over to Cadwell yesterday and saw some nice bikes on track even saw an ET in Wrangler colours being thrashed round in the novice group, talked to the owner in the paddock turns out its an ex drag bike that's been off the grid for a while I'm sure I've seen it before somewhere, sorry no pics
  9. Files are quite big sent on email if you don't get them you can download it here. http://www.andersonart.com/latendresse76/86-87 GSXR750 (G & H) Service Manual.pdf
  10. I've got one in PDF if you PM me your email address I'll send it to you
  11. Back home already passed with no advisories ,just need to put the small plate and h/light cover back on now, hopefully off to Cadwell tomorrow
  12. Off for the MOT fingers crossed all is good
  13. Just as poor a choice with the 16 and 18 combo I'm afraid, think Dunlop and Conti as well as Bridgestone do them nothing that great sadly as they are sold as classic tyres, and aren't even the same models as are available in 18"s if you want to have matching pairs. A UK website FWR tyres https://www.fwr.co.uk has an option to put in your bike model and gives you all available options from nearly all manufacturers this will give you an idea of whats available, probably not much in the line of choice though. Hence why most folk end up doing a 17" conversion at some point, hope you get it sorted one way or another
  14. Agree with the logic of 17" wheels for more options on modern rubber but if you want 18" wheels there are more options now coming available with some manufacturers doing a classic tyre. agree BT45's are shite, but Avon and Conti do options that I have used on track and work fine, even sports touring rubber is better than race style rubber from the 80's just less options available if you have a preference for a manufacturer with 17"s you can pick whatever you want way less choice with 18"s
  15. Yes been watching your updates deffo evolving each week top thread and top bike
  16. Here you are about to hit the track at Donington last year A few dodgy other old Skool folks in the background
  17. Will there be any Birds there Steve sorry well done mate well deserved recognition
  18. Thanks for the compliments, you are lucky to inherit an ET as they are getting hard to find these days. Firstly start a build thread and get some pics up we like pictures As far as what to do with the bike when you get it I think that's down to what you like not what other people want, there are a few of us on here with them and everyone has there own take of what good looks like You could restore to standard but this is OSS and it's all about modifications, original with period mods, customised, big bore kit tune etc or remove the lump and stick in a GSXR unit then turbo it.Have a search on the forum and you'll soon get some inspiration for the project. For me its save up the cash to turbo or supercharge mine in the not to distant future there are examples of both on here Good luck and I'm looking forward to seeing that thread appear soon
  19. Fuel tap cleaned and repair kit fitted
  20. Finished at last quick pic before she's back in the shed on charge until next weekend

  22. Binned the shit Chinese indicators at last bit of rewiring and fitted these this morning more in keeping with the bike I think, might go for a ride in a bit once this mega hangover clears up
