  1. Once it's picked up like that it's always going to pick up. So it's goosed. Stuart Crane at Warpspeed racing can weld it and line bore it but it won't be cheap but then neither are the efe heads. They are still much prized by the drag racing comunity and they have become thin on the ground.
  2. Welcome to the Winged Hammers @Bow Bow's bandit is one of the quickest NA bandits running the 1/4 mile at present, no gas, or turbo. Bow tells me he also also has a half built GSX ET comp bike, 1216 bandit motor, big Garret turbo, and a little bit of gas, just to get it off the line. I hope the mighty Winged Hammer will a strike fear and envy in the heart of your competition. Stickers will be out in the post shortly.
  3. Winner winner chicken dinner. Go winged hammers!
  4. I will be writing a more comprehensive account of the weekend for our news page so I'll keep this short. After an amaizing weekend Rooster Racing got a 3rd and 4th place in the open class. What a pleasure and an honour it was to be part of that experience. Go Rooster Racing! Go Winged Hammers!
  5. There is good chance it will be fast but based on my first 24hr as team 81 manager the stress comes with the territory but that's down to the organisers
  6. I rode accross France last week and it was 40 degrees. Imagine a giant hair dryer pointed at you for 8 hours.
  7. Well, originally I intended to come to Spa to cover the Rooster Racing team in the 4hr endurance race. I applied for a press pass and it was accepted. Don Hill and Rooster Racing are running 2 bikes this year with 6 riders and a team of 18 people. Don was going to manage one of the teams himself but he wants to be able to concentrate on the bikes so he has asked me to manage one of the teams in his stead. This means my article will now be from inside the action. Wish us all luck.
  8. Read the rules. Everything is explained. You are expected to educate yourself in that respect. Failure to do..... Well Read the rules. The bandwidth and resources here are free but they are also hard earned don't make the mistake of wasting them.
  9. Every time they are on offer I buy a set and stick them on the shelf. Just used my last set.
  10. The seals are all the same for the oil cooled GSXRs.
  11. The low hanging fruit for curing clutch slip are usually either that a car oil has been used that has friction inhibitors in it or using non OEM clutch fibre plates. I'm not familiar with the brand you've used but there are very few that can hold a candle to the OEM plates that is why they are expensive. My Katana is knocking out 130 BHP on a standard clutch with OEM plates with zero slip. About 10 years ago I bought a set of EBC ( heavy duty) friction plates and they slipped all over the place.
  12. Haha great stuff. You've got it bad now. Prepare to be poorer. Go Winged Hammers!
  13. 3rd gear driven is the Achilles heal for all of the Suzuki in line four 1100 oil cooled engines.
  14. First 2 objectives complete: 1. Finish race. 2. Don't finish last. Well done.
  15. All of my Suzuki cush rubbers have always been used dry and generally they wear really well. I had to replace the cush rubbers on a Yam I had every 6-7k. With those particular rubbers I found a little lithium grease reduced the wear rate by about 20%. As I say though, I have never had an issue with any of my Suzukis.
  16. Aye he'll be back for the rest of the season no doubt. You know @Mole28he's giving us a head start just to fuck with us. He'll still win it
  17. We have a new Winged hammer @Gordonis a veteran at East Fortune in the Post Classic Senior Scottish championship where I started racing my slabby last year. As well as being very fast he is a hell of a nice chap who went out of his way to make me feel welcome last year. Read about Gordon's bike here Good luck this year Gordon, you'll get your wings on Friday. No @Mole28 this weekend so we'll hopefully both be leading him in the championship for a wee while. You for a bit longer than me
  18. Hi @Gordon Glad to have have you on the site at last. Instant Winged Hammer status granted. Look forward to seeing you disappear into the distance on Saturday but I'l try my baby hardest to keep up. I'll bring stickers on Friday.
