  4. happy days
  5. that one thing a like about my ET, the seat is one of the comfiest seats ive sat on. just right for my aging botty
  6. my first and only choice was the black/orange factory look, I wanted it to look standard from a distance till they noticed the mods
  7. the easiest option would be 600 bandit wheels, you will need to have the rear sprocket carrier machined down and move the front sprocket further out to get the chain in line and a 530 chain conversion. then you will need a GS500 rear calliper and hanger so you can use the OEM torque arm. you can squeeze a B6 front wheel in between the forks with just enough clearance with the B6 disc's, spindle sizes are different though. then you'll have to make a calliper mount bracket for what ever callipers you use. B6 speedo drive might be too wide so will need machining down a few mm. using B12 wheels is a lot more work as they are wider
  8. if it was me i'd fit the frame support and put the fairing on the bike, then line the fairing up with the tank line and mark the holes from underneath.
  9. be careful with the after market fiberglass fairings, I had one on a project bike i built and they are not mm perfect with OEM !!!!!
  10. I've no idea ? but if you pull the forks apart you might find an extra or longer spring/spacer under the damper rod
  11. If you want to put 36mm bandit carbs on a zuma just buy the B12 airbox rubbers and then make the holes in the airbox bigger to fit them.
  12. I think the next step in this saga would be to go down a size on the pilot jets and see how it runs
  13. when i put a GSX1100 engine in my 750ET i checked the compression and wasn't great but all where equal, it even chuffed a bit of smoke out on cold starts now and then, I know the engine had been stood for a long time, but after a few 100 miles the compression has increased to over 140psi and it seems to of stopped chuffing oil out. it also runs better than it did when i first got it. food for thought.
  14. how did that happen ????
  15. I think they went 36mm on the gsx1100(1150) EF
  16. arn't the ES/ED carbs 34mm ?
  17. worth getting a pair i think, also will keep the gasket straight.
  18. 52mm at the top yoke 56mm at the bottom yoke
  19. looking at the parts diagram their should be 2 of em !!!!
  20. as long as it matches the other side it'll be fine.
  21. yeah agree, looks like a bit of improvisation
  22. yeah the front frame mounts will be in the same place, but the 2 left and right mounts you will probably have to make ??? not a job ive ever done, but any bandit ive had with a fairing ive taken it of and binned
  23. yeah you can pull it out in situ, it should be covered by a retaining plate.
  24. it won't be a direct fit as the frames are different, but nothing is impossible
  25. not your fault, when i read other posts i get them all mixed up
