you will need some sort of tools for the job, once you've done a few they are easy enough

fuel injection on an old skool motor ? who has done it ?
TonyGee replied to busa ash's topic in Air Cooled
why would you want to put all that electrictrickery shit on a classic air cooled engine ???????? -
nah, you could still get your monkey bikes in
-
anything looks better than them

Suzuki say dry, but make sure the surfaces are clean and dry.

1996 SB6 No Spark
TonyGee replied to ArcanumOne's topic in Water Cooled, V-Twins, Singles and 2-strokes
some suzuki's use a 3 pin diode (bandit) in the harness, don't know if you have one in yours but if you put it in backwards theirs no spark. ????? just a thought. -

would using a GSXR harness be a better bet ? -

first thing I check is if their is 12V at the coils, if so its an ignition problem. if not its no battery voltage. just helps to what side of the harness to check. -
I think most CV carbs are a P.I.T.A. without their airbox I remember pulling the snorkel of a B12 once and it ran like shit !!!!! it went back on pretty sharpish.

looks a bit better, the gsxr spindle will be way to big for the gs wheel bearings and I dont know if you could find the right bearings to match ?????? but you could reduce the hole in the forks to take the gs spindle with the right size spacers.
-
maybe its time for a trip to a dyno

are you running with 4 separate pod filters ? some people say the 2 twin pod filters are better ???? just a thought.
-
it looks just like the bike i did as I said I ended up putting a smaller wheel on and it looked good. but if you like it then fair do
-
what I wrote had nothing to do what you wrote ?????? I was just saying what I thought. but looking back at your post you did say " you probably won't have space / fixing for the speedo"
-
better forks and looks OEM
-
yeah, what I found was the hub width is narrower on the older wheels than the newer 17" wheels. so I had plenty of room for a speedo drive. Ive also had a speedo drive thinned out a few mm as well to get it in the gap.

ive done it but it wasn't on a Suzuki. to me it just didn't look right so I ended up changing the wheel. but it might look ok on your GS ??? the thing to do is fit the forks and throw the wheel on and step back and have a look. if you like it then it doesn't matter a fuck what others think
-
don't know about that ???? it was more about being skint and not having the dosh for a new exhaust system I just happened to have the end of an old can that fitted over the motad with a bit of cutting and riveting.

what ive done on bandit forks a few times is use a spacer under the damper rod (with a longer allen bolt) which will extend the overall length, but if you have an adjusting rod from the top cap running through the legs I don't think it'll work.
-
yeah me too, no problem so far
-
Ive had to stamp a few frames that ive fitted under warranty, so that could make someone suspicious as it won't be the same as a factory stamp.

por15 is good stuff, but you really need to do the prep work first before you put it in.
