  1. I was looking for ages for a set of disc's that would fit the bandit wheel and with a smaller offset but with the O.D of the GSX disc's !!!! i could then fit the standard callipers. but theirs nowt I could find apart for having some made at silly money so went with 600 bandit disc's that clear the fork legs (including the disc bobbins) i had to cut the GSX pads down a bit as they are to wide for the disc face where the pads sit. yeah a bit of a bodge but will at some point get a pair of B6 callipers. the standard GSX wheel spacers where machined out to take the 17mm bandit spindle and used a B6 speedo drive. saying that I ended up changing the front wheel for an early GSXR1100 18 inch 3 spoke one, just thought it looked better for the style of bike its a bit wider at the hub than the bandit which isn't a big problem as ZZR1100 disc's fit the wheel and have a much lower offset. the wheel was already powder coated gold but should look better when its painted black.
  2. is that a grasstrack section as well Garry ?
  3. copy away Sam yeah im using the OEM callipers off the GSX1100 as its all i had plus didn't have the dosh to buy any others but they'll do for now on the 750. the back sprocket i already had lying around but had to buy a cheap 530 front sprocket to fit the GSX750 engine. then i just buy the longest cheap 530 chain and cut it to fit. the 750 is just gona be a run around for now so its built on a tight budget.
  4. Hi Sam, ive put a 600 bandit rear wheel in my GS 750 with a GSX1100 swingarm, it has a 150 tire on it and theirs plenty of room for the chain to clear the frame and tire, i could fit a 160 tire and still have enough room but you need to machine the sprocket carrier down a bit so the chain is closer to the wheel and move the front sprocket out a few mm. I also fitted a 600 MK1 front wheel in a set of GSX1100ED forks, its tight as the OEM disc's are close to the fork legs (about 3mm gap) don't know if the wider 1200 rim will cause a clearance problem with a wider tire ??? you will have to make some calliper hanger brackets though.
  5. nobody mentioned water cooled engines ??? suzuki for some mad reason thought they would call the gsxf bikes katana's over in the US of A and other places (they even called a moped a katana !!!!!! ) we all know the ONLY katana's are air cooled.
  6. my mistake, i just assumed everyone knows how they work
  7. but the O/P says he's lost spark on 3 & 4 plugs. so if their is a spark on 1 & 2 then both coils have a 12v supply. one coil supplies cylinders 1 & 4. the other coil supplies cylinder 2 & 3.
  8. yes both coils have a separate 12v supply as it splits off from the kill/ignition switches. so if 1 & 2 plugs have a spark then both coils have a 12v supply.
  9. ??????????? if you have 12v to the left coil which 1 & 4 and number 1 is sparking then it has a 12v supply, same setup to the other side.
  10. he has 12v supply as he's got a spark on 1 & 2
  11. if it was running ok when you put the plugs in then a miss fire started it could be fuel, where the plugs wet ? fuel can kill plugs but trying another 2 known good plugs might be worth trying.
  12. it could be a superseded part ?
  13. have you tried 2 NEW spark plugs first ?

    Old into new

my guess is it'll be a squeeze with the cylinder head in-between the frame, and if it does go in their won't be any side to side movement if the output sprocket needs moving. also will the carbs fit in ? only a guess though ??????
  15. the only code i can find is 04Y but can't guarantee its the exact colour though ???????
  16. you could fit/weld 2 top shock bolts on and go twinshock !! would make life much easier and look much more cooler
  17. the oil cooled motor is my favourite engine but are 10 a penny and you could get one anytime, the EFE engine though is getting almost impossible to fine so strike while you can.
  18. as wraith says the carb rubbers are different but both sets are interchangeable, mk1 rubbers with mk1 carbs, mk2 rubbers with mk2 carbs. also the mk2 has the speedo sensor on the output shaft if you want to use an electronic speedo.
  19. bloody hell !!!!! your painter is quick
  20. not sure on this one ? my carbs have them so they must serve a purpose !!!! they are fitted at the factory.
  21. that'll be the worm drive just not quite set right, seen this a few times,
  22. when i did fitted katana bodywork to my inazuma frame i had to make up the rear frame to fit the tail unit and seat lock. wasn't hard and doesn't need to be factory spec.
  23. ive got that same exhaust but its on my 750 atm.
