  1. if he's using the OEM swinger then GS 500 calliper and hanger are used as the torque arm is on top not underneath
  2. yeah I should of said, I did a 530 conversion. with the sprocket on the shaft the splines no longer protrude past the edge of the sprocket but just slightly under. still plenty of splines driving the sprocket. this give me enough room to clear the tyre. yeah I do everything on the cheap
  3. yep it does look well, but I like bandit's
  4. Ive got a 4.5inch bandit 600 wheel in my GSX750, to get the chain to run equally between the frame and the edge of the 150 rear tyre I used a thickish washer behind the front sprocket to offset it, the problem their is you cant use the lock washer as the sprocket sits at the end of the splines. but the sprocket i used has 2 drilled and tapped holes in it so i made a plate to sit up against the sprocket nut to stop it from coming loose. then i had to get the rear sprocket carrier machined down so the sprocket was closer to the tyre. the chain is in line and I have loads of room from the frame and tyre.
  5. I made mine and just guest the angle
  6. if you change the bearings to 25mm ID the spacer between them will be too small.
  7. ive got one of then crappy neon plug caps that the custom boys used to use, it was great for finding misfires, but I dont think you can get a long reach one like many suzuki's use ????? the one ive got is the short one.
  8. thats what my gsx750 is doing, it has a very slight weep and looks like its coming from the gasket at the front of the cam chain tunnel. but after cleaning the oil off go for a run and you can see the oil running down the outside of the chain tunnel just underneath where the long nut and O ring live. will get round to replacing them at some point
  9. It would be interesting to see a set of carbs on a GSX1400 Joseph, and how it performs
  10. yeah good point on the sensors it would need. as well as a fuel pump.
  11. I don't do turbo's but yeah your probably right
  12. Noooooooo !!!!!! EFI on a bandit/GSXR engine give me carbs any day
  13. ive seen conversion kits here in the UK for the oil cooled GSX's. have a look on the bay on E
  14. bugger me Garry, not having much fun lately
  15. If its not you will be able to shim it a little with washers.
  16. no idea but if you can get the plate and rotor to fit and get the timing right i don't see why not
  17. lol. yeah i was lucky i think it might be 2.5mm at the frame but its still got paint on it and the chain is a bit on the slack side right now
  18. I can't say for sure what you need but the 5/8th works good on my bike and with the GSX1100 carrier, chain is straight and with enough clearance.
  19. on my 1100ET i used a 5/8th offset (about 16mm) 530 sprocket. but i also used a standard GSX1100 rear carrier that fits my 1200 bandit wheel. if you don't bring the rear sprocket further in to the wheel it wont line up right and it'll hit the frame. I have about 3mm clearance between the tyre and the frame. yeah its close but no contact YET
  20. yeah im sure people have and it wouldn't be too hard to do, but most people fit more modern forks so they can use more modern wheels and tyres as well.
