  1. Last year purchased a 97 gsx600f completely standard and was running fine, the winter however has been a cruel beast. The standard exhaust met its match with all the grit laid down it has rotted faster and blown through. Problem I am faced with is it has the 4 into 2 system as standard. However I have been trying find a new system but I can only find 4 into 1, I was told I would have to change the sump in order for it to fit. I cannt find the standard 4 into 2, nor do I like it anyway. Does anyone know what exhaust will fit on and whether I will need to change the sump around to do. My final option is the full delkavic system just under 400 quid, but that might mean the sump swap. I don't want to pay or do that Haha. So any and all advice is appreciated
  2. Hi guys I'm after some advice plz. I'm in need of a longer swingarm and shock for my naked 1995 gsx600f project. The picture is the original set back 1.5 inches so close to what the 750 would look like. My issue is I need a longer shock too as I'm fitting gsxr750 forks and yoke. I had thought of a Rf900 but it doesn't look muck longer to my eyes. I want to fit a fatter tyre eventually but atm it's not a priority. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. I’ve had no interest in my Little GSX550ES or my 600F rolling chassis and I want a project to while away what’s left of Winter! My question is, would my little 550 motor fit in the teapot frame? A daft mix maybe and in an ideal world I’d want an 1100F in there! Alas, as on a budget as in skintsville, is this a viable, straightforward swap?? There’s plenty of space but it might look a bit lost in there or need lots of brackets / engine mounts making up? Views, opinions and pointers please? Pics of both are attached.
  4. I have a GSX 600 FR (1995) and wondered what tyres were good for it? Not sure what I have at the moment, forget what they are and bike isn't here at the moment but in the wet it handles like a supermarket trolley. Good in the dry but awful in the wet. Are there any tyres out there that are good in both dry and wet? Had a really bad accident years ago due to a tyre mismatch (although the bike shop , BMW, Metzeler and Continental all said it was a good combination. They forgot to test it with a bike with a fairing...) and don't want the same again. Instinct for self preservation has kicked in with age. This also means that instead of pubs, I now enjoy tea rooms. Please, shoot me, lol
  5. Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any idea if a bandit exhaust will fit on a 1995 gsx600f? It currently has a Motad Nexxus 4-1 with a completely shot collector box. Will a bandit collector box fit? Or any other system? Seems daft to pay over £300 for a new system on an old nail...
  6. So, I bought this cheap old teapot 600 and have started to pull it to pieces, I'm selling the motor, the carbs and possibly the running gear as I plan on making it into a bit of a "sleeper". I plan on fitting either a Bandit 1200 motor into it as there seems to be plenty of them around or a Powerscreen 1100 lump or even as a last resort a 750 oil burner of some sort. I want to try and retain the look of the boring old teapot but have better brakes, wider rear wheel and a lot more stomp! A few years back I bought an old GSX750ES off a guy in Nantwich, Cheshire which had a GSXR750J motor fitted, Bandit 600 front end and rear wheel together with a nice braced JMC swinging arm, I loved that bike, especially the fact that it looked like a stocker and nobody gave it a second glance! That's what I'd like to replicate with the teapot! Has anybody done this mod? If so grateful for any info and pointers. I'm guessing along with the motor I'm going to need the loom, the oil cooler and the CDI?
