  1. You could also find a mud guard you like (glassfiber replica) and do some fiber work in order to modify that so it matches how the original one fits onto the alloy brace ?
  2. Slabside has a larger diameter front tyre, the radius of the mudguard won't work because the bandit needs a 17 inch mudguard Pictured here is the opposite, an SRAD mudguard over a slabside wheel. Took a lot of time and another mudguard to get it right
  3. Suzuki GSX EFE 1985. 79200km Recent jobs : Front brakes (caliper and MC seals, pads, braided lines Fork seals + oil, New battlax bt 46 tyres Rear brakes (caliper seals + pads) New rear shock (Shock Factory) Suspension knuckle rebulilt (new bearings) New rear tyre battlax 46 New fuel lines, carbs ultrasounded and rebulilt (seals and float needles) KN filter + new inlets Bad points he says the clutch discs need looking at, and the engine burns a bit of oil. Underbody available but needs new paint
  4. Talking imports there is a clean EFE thats had some proper work done, for sale very close to me for 2200€. If you take a flight to Paris you can ride it home
  5. So in your case it's not the number of spokes that would cause a problem, but the diameter of the front wheel (16 on EFE originally)
  6. By the looks of it, the new French Contrôle Technique overall won't be checking conformity, but good functional condition of the bikes technicals. You'll probably need to put a E stamped exhaust can on it the day it goes to the MOT, and it looks like tyre size needs to be same as factory issue, which is a pain (slabbies on modern rims for example could be tricky) but anthing else should be ok, especially on older bikes
  7. Knock down the price as much as you can (meaning, right down), arguing the paperwork nightmare that it would be, then find a UK frame, powdercoat it and rebuild the bike onto that, then you can donate the leftover frame to @Captain Chaos
  8. To get the spindle out you don't need to touch the threaded adjuster rings ? If the nut on the other side unscrewed it should knock out, but it may be crusted in by corrosion ?
  9. You could go to halfords and buy a bag of oil sump plugs because many cars use that size, as do the GSXR bikes also
  10. Would it be best to tape that over while you're scrounging around in the garage building the bike ? Impressive finish though, thats some dedication there
  11. The bearing contact surface looks quite nice though ?
  12. So good to see how far his product quality has leaped
  13. Yes the First slingshot frame 1100K has a shorter arm than all other 1100s
  14. Joseph

    Big bore?

50% more hp = more heat to dissipate i guess
  15. Right, well the easisest option for a slightly longer and "plug and play" arm, is the '89 GSXR 1100 arm. I can't remember off the top of my head, but it's longer than the 750s and i think 3cm shorter than the following slingshot 1100 arms So if you have already made a working linkage, you could fit that 89 arm easy and gain a tad more length
  16. Doesn't sound like the question is asking for plug and play options though ? @skooterwhats the deal you're wanting to do on the bike ?
  17. In the docs i have, 88-89 7R, powerscreen and 1127R have 8.8 and 8.2 lift, however i don't have all the duration values and obviously that changes things. If they smoothed out the part numbers and if the duration made the 7R nicer, maybe they unified it based on the lift values alone ? Or maybe the docs i've had are wrong ?
  18. Exh/int same part numbers as powderscreams and also same intake cam on all the 1127 GSXR non shim head
  19. Are you buying or selling ? That makes for quite a difference usually
  20. Windscreen glue or the like usually
