  1. got the spindle out! now to move on to the threaded insert.....
  2. thanks - will have another go today
  3. Nut is out on the right hand side ok. Nothing is shifting when tapped with a hammer. Not sure if it's threaded on left hand side shown in the picture
  4. Any suggestions as to how to get the spindle out without special tools?
  5. Fitting a 750K2/K4 rear end to my 750K slingshot frame, and have a few questions for anyone who has been down this road. 1. Using a 1000K1 shock. Which dogbones fit? 750 Slingshot and 750K2/K4 are too long. I think I need 150mm based on my mates bike with a similar conversion. 2. What size if sleeve / spacer is needed using the slingshot spindle? Is 20mm/24.6mm correct?
  6. +1 I've got a Metmachex arm for a 750L and looking to fit 750K2 or K3 rear wheel
  7. thanks for info guys. K2 back end purchased and trial fit once I get it stripped down to a bare frame.
  8. As per title will a 750k2 swingarm (and shocker) fit on a 1990 750L frame? Would it be a straight bolt on fit, or is some engineering prowess required with spacers and jiggery pokery etc? Ta
  9. @Allspeedsdo you have any info / details on the headlights please? ta
  10. just checked mine, its 15 rows and 20cm in height (oil cooler body), 24 cm top mount to bottom mount. which makes sense seeing as its a 750 frame (with 1100 engine)
  11. ^^^^ thanks - I'll go and measure mine
  12. whats the best way to distinguish between 750 and 1100 (slingshot) oil coolers? how many rows is the 750 and 1100? or dimensions (height?) I think I've had a bit of senior moment....
  13. Thanks SiBag - thats bang on mate!
  14. yep thats the kind of thing fatblokeonbandit!
  15. The oil cooler on my 7/11 has a hairline crack on the mount / housing where the L/H hose bolts on to. Edit to add - its pishing oil! I'm guessing this might be fixable by specialist welding, second hand ones on egay are £50+ with some "needing repair" so thinking after market oil cooler? Quick look on that site shows various coolers new from £30 up, but I don't have a clue about fitments etc! What would I need to buy after market - rows (17??) and hose fitments assuming standard feeder hoses will need replaced? Engine is 1990 1127cc slingy motor. Any advice and guidance much appreciated! cheers Recardo!
