To get the spindle out you don't need to touch the threaded adjuster rings ? If the nut on the other side unscrewed it should knock out, but it may be crusted in by corrosion ?
-
You could go to halfords and buy a bag of oil sump plugs because many cars use that size, as do the GSXR bikes also

Would it be best to tape that over while you're scrounging around in the garage building the bike ? Impressive finish though, thats some dedication there
-
The bearing contact surface looks quite nice though ?

So good to see how far his product quality has leaped

Yes the First slingshot frame 1100K has a shorter arm than all other 1100s
-
50% more hp = more heat to dissipate i guess
-
Right, well the easisest option for a slightly longer and "plug and play" arm, is the '89 GSXR 1100 arm. I can't remember off the top of my head, but it's longer than the 750s and i think 3cm shorter than the following slingshot 1100 arms So if you have already made a working linkage, you could fit that 89 arm easy and gain a tad more length

Doesn't sound like the question is asking for plug and play options though ? @skooterwhats the deal you're wanting to do on the bike ?

In the docs i have, 88-89 7R, powerscreen and 1127R have 8.8 and 8.2 lift, however i don't have all the duration values and obviously that changes things. If they smoothed out the part numbers and if the duration made the 7R nicer, maybe they unified it based on the lift values alone ? Or maybe the docs i've had are wrong ?
-
Exh/int same part numbers as powderscreams and also same intake cam on all the 1127 GSXR non shim head
-
Are you buying or selling ? That makes for quite a difference usually
-
Windscreen glue or the like usually
-
Bench drill is a bit wonky but hey I got it centered and it worked out ok
-
Cool. That makes total sense. Thanks for the clarification Now it's off to the welders then

Quick question Got my hands on the last bits for the plenum : the intake pipe I have a 10mm OD tube for the pitot. I chose that because thats what recurrent info i found online (i still have no idea what I'm doing, i'm just going by what stuff i find online and especially here) Any preference based on these three angles ? (On Ol' Red the tube was inline with the plenum intake, like the first photo, for example) Or do i just choose whatever suits the space i've got ? Would i need to do a slash cut on either of those setups or just the 45 / 90 degree ones ? Ta

Can't do dyno either. Nobody offers dyno carburetor set up in the country i live in
-
I saw that you wrote that but unfortunately i'm going to have to stick with the singles on this bike
-
Currently trying to set up my 1127R engine with BST34 I have KN single pods and the exact same exhaust as you, currently on 140 mains, 3 turns and middle notch needles, it's sluggish when you try to give it beans, so sounds like i need to up the game ?

Yes it goes through to the other side, the Ignition itself is not in an oil bath but there is a small passageway to the sump. It's a really smart and trouble free solution
