  1. I returned the 2 right hand side silver spot calipers to the breaker & they sent me a right & a left set of gold spots. Am happy with that.
  2. @Dezza yes gsxr 1000 k8 forks which are 720mm from wheel spindle centre to top not including adjuster on the top of the forks. What do your 750y ones measure, I don't know what length the forks were on the first Harris magnum 2's was. If the k8 forks are shorter than what is needed I can always do this in the pic below.
  3. Pressed it together went to fit the forks only to discover that the bottom yoke is 1mm smaller than the forks so will have to get them milled out. (K9 yoke k8 forks).
  4. Looking at the one I have even with two outlets of that size I do not think there will be enough flow for modern stuff.
  5. Don't know what they are but my one has 2 taps.
  6. Went on a road trip to see Sam, took the frame with me as well. (cheers mate you are a star as always). After nearly 5 hours we came up with this.
  7. That sounds like a good plan mate.
  8. There's not enough material on the bottom yoke to sink the stem in on the k9 yoke so tried a slingshot yoke stem which is too short as well. I then tried b12 stem which is too long so put part of the k9 bearing on to shorten it by 11mm which makes it just about right. Am thinking get a spacer made to fit the bottomside of the yoke. Last pick is with a b12 top yoke just for mock up. Or better still get one made.
  9. 225mm 17 inch wheels zxr 400 forks r1 shock.
  10. Which stem did you use. I was going to alter the posision of standard k9 one.
  11. Got a gsxr 1000 k9 bottom yoke. Had a bottom bearing that fit but no top one. The yoke needs reassessing as the stem is about 6mm to short & steering stops altering.
  12. Got a 16 tooth 530 3/8 off set front sprocket from debben performance today. Fitted it to the mock up motor on the very edge of the splines. K9 back wheel has two 3mm spacors both sides to centre it in the k8 arm. Turned the back sproket round to gain 2mm & the chain run is spot on, thats with a 190 tyre fitted (6mm between chain & tyre). Only 2mm between inside top rearset mount so will have to trim it down a bit.
  13. Got some k9 discs & some r6 mono block front calipers. Only thing is the bludy breaker has sent me 2 right hand side ones. (We are in contact.)

    GS 750

Good mate of myn just brought this round to show me, 4 1/2 miles since rebuild.
  16. Yes 16.5 where are you getting them from, what tyres a're you using, are they road legal.
  17. Having to 're think the marchesni wheels as it appears to be a bit tricky to get road tyres for them, but I do like em though. As a alternative I got me hands on some gsxr 1000k9 wheels & these are just about as light as the marchesnis & I can get tyres for them. On thr plus side the k9 back wheel is narrower at the spindle width than the k8 which makes the chain alignment easier.
  18. @melkweg thanks very much, could you also measure from shock mount on the swinging arm to the swinging arm spindle.
  19. Thanks @Dezza am thinking about drag slots that shorter the k8 arm.
  20. Does anyone know the length of a magnum 2 swinging arm.
  21. Yes they are, will do pics and measure tomorrow.
  22. Forgot to mention the back marchesni wheel is over 6lb lighter than the busa one & 2lb lighter than the r1 wheel.
