mick-ne Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Hi, starting to plan my ET build and cant decide on rear end. I love the look of the twinshock as it looks oldskool but I am fitting an usd front end so could go modern right through. I saw a pic here of a really cool looking mono shock bike but cant find it now. whats your thoughts ? Quote
Paulm Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Mines twin shock and upside down front end,for me they were twin shock so should stay that way 3 Quote
mick-ne Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Its your bike that's given me the ET hunger Paul lol Quote
Paulm Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Ha ha,just go with whatever does it for you,I wanted mine to keep the stock bodywork and twin shocks so it was always going to recognisably be a ET, Quote
mick-ne Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 you cant remember where that monoshock pic was can you, you put a pic of yours in the same thread ? Â Quote
Peterrr Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I would keep the twin shocks I have an usd fork in my kat 1100, and the rear swinger of a GSX Inazuma with twin shocks, looks modern and oldskool 1 Quote
berty Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Twin shock - so much better I recon . Keeps the et looking as it should . Quote
mick-ne Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 I think the opinions are clear on that one then , looking like its gotta be twinshock 3 Quote
bigyellowthing Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I am sure that there was a conversion kit which used the centre stand mount as a linkage pivot. Check google images or perhaps Streetfighters magazine might have some info? Be a lot easier to go Ohlins 36P or Wilbers twin shocks and a Bandit 12 swingarm with lugs welded on? Quote
kiwi Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) Not mine but worth a look all 4 parts  , but i would say twin shock all the way!!   Edited February 5, 2016 by kiwi Quote
gsx Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Monoshock it mate , adjustable ride height , which you will find out you need, and gsxr shocks are piss cheap compared  to decent twins Quote
johnr Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 strut it, if it aint rigid, it aint hard...... lol  1 Quote

clivegto Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Even some of the red bits are not et but are efe. Quote
Sheep Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Hmmm....i like the monoshock look with all that air around the tyre but i think twins win it hands down on an ET...... 1 Quote
Kraptanaman Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I monoshocked my Katana with its modern looks i think it pulls it off. Â I think now with an et the twin shock setup would suit it better. Â A really nice set. Â Quote
mick-ne Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 I totally agree ,looking at that pic of your Kat, it looks like it was factory  made and should be monoshocked Quote
Paulm Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Get an ET built Mick, twin shock you know it makes sense!! Lol Quote
