1. And this is how it looks at the moment.
2. My popup kat has a front and rear from a GSXR750W from 1992. The USD was easy, you only need to cut a little away in the front fairing to make room and you need to lower the mudguard so it won't hit the bodywork. The rear swingarm took some cutting and welding to get it in there, so that was not an easy swap. You can also use the front fork and rear wheel from a GSX750F (teapot) and upgrade the original shock with a replacement from Hagon or YSS.
3. I've got YSS adjustable shocks on my katana and I am very happy with how the bike handles.
4. Hi mister Alchemist, I've got a diagram for you somewhere on my laptop. I also have all the part numbers and workshop manual if you need it. If you want I can e-mail them. Are you having some electrical issues with your popup kat?
5. Welcome! nice clean bike
6. The friend with the missing seat is Johan I guess? I am keeping an eye open for a XN seat, but as you might know parts are hard to find.
7. It is a nice addition to the family of katana's indeed. the XN has a little katana dna so it fits right in. Only 70 bhp? omg lol. Well I will see what the engine does in a few months. first I need to finsh a popup kat.
8. Can never be much with only 85hp
9. It is tempting to modify it for sure, but first thing to do is getting it to run. If I modify it, it will be upgrading suspension and brakes only, no cutting or welding anywhere. Do you want to get yours running and modify it?
10. Hi guys I got myself a little pre-christmas present. An XN85 Turbo (with a shocking 85hp) Bike has been standing still for more than 20 years, everything is there, does't look all that bad. so when I find some time I will see if I can get it running again. But I was wondering if anyone else her has one of these bikes?
11. I also have a katana 1100 with a black exhaust from a GSX1100ES, I made a bracket and they fit very nice. https://imgur.com/B6rbKHg
12. Known problem for the Inazuma, the one I used to have had a new tank on it. To my knowledge the only bike with a tank like this is the 750 and 1200 Inazuma. How far gone is the tank? maybe a welder can fix it for you?

Pop Kat

I can give it a try, I've got a complete popup in parts and an 1100R engine......

Pop Kat

Yes it is a GSX750F engine, fits like a glove, 1100 and 1200 cc engines are a little too high and I did not want to mod the frame and bodywork to make it all fit.

Pop Kat

16. Always good to see a katana! Are you going for an Original bike or are you going to do some more upgrades?

Foam filters

My F engine has 36mm carbs, and a stage 3 dynojet Had to use smaller pilot jets to make it run better. So different main jets, pilot jets, needles, air screw setting etc

Foam filters

I did the Same with Stock airbox rubbers from a gsx750f on the 36mm carbs. (Ramair socks) Works perfect
19. show us a picture when you have the twin shocks on And what kind of twin shocks will you use? I've got mine with YSS shocks
20. I tried this once, but did not write it down sorry. But it fits for sure, even the torque arm fits Think I used a bandit 600 sprocket carrier, might be a little bit different from the F carrier
21. You can use the wire that gives the F the signal. Its an easy mod, I compared both the wiring diagrams and made a new connector, works fine
