preludo Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 (edited) Hi, first thank you for letting me being a part of this amazing community, I'm an old guy from 64 'and living in Denmark, I recently bought an older Suzuki GSX 750 esd from 83', I've recently read a lot of topics for converting especially oil-air cooled GSX, I'm in the process of rebuilding my GSX 750 esd, I've purchased a GSXR 750 from 92 ', I have provisionally mounted frontend usd, which was plug & play, I've mounted the swinger and has now reached challenges with the shock damper, has read about several who have made this modification , but have little difficulty to navigate and find topics again, so I must learn that, I will also mount the GSXR motor when I come so far, missing drawings of the new engine bracket. Sorry for my bad English , i use Google translate and often is that not the best way to make themselves understandable , but hope you understand me Edited May 29, 2018 by preludo 4 Quote

Flugelbinder Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Hey Also very new here and also doing something to a similar bike as yours. Super interested in what you have done to fit the swing arm? I am considering a deal with both ends of a GSXR from 85, which I hope won't differ a whole lot Looking really good. Can't wait to see more of it 1 Quote

Best regards, Hasse from Sweden. Hey and thanks I have had most of my colon removed and got a stoma, but fortunately there was some colon left, so now they have brought the gut back and I have got rid of stoma It has been hard not to be able to get my project on, but now I work on it in all my spare time, but it is my first project so there have been a lot of challenges, but I hope to get it done this summer Quote
preludo Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 and thanks to Peterr for the Motor Mount drawings it help me alot Quote
preludo Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Hi, then I came a little further, I got the engine in the frame, I knew well that there would be problems with my 38mm carburettors, but thought that they were only gasoline tap that would not be room for, but then to my horror that the tank comes across the cylinder head , is there anyone that can tell how they have solved the problem that has made the same conversion from the GSX 750 esd? Do not want to cut the tank, but it may be necessary Quote
Hacri Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 It's possible to make 2 spacers to mount under the tank were the screws go, but it will disturbe the line of design, and may be a little unstable 1 Quote
preludo Posted May 29, 2019 Author Posted May 29, 2019 Hi, then I tried if there was room for the exhaust and it looks like it fits, I doubt what oil cooler or rather how big it should be, the GSXR cooler is curved and it will look strange when it is a naked bike and the GSX esd cooler is probably WAY too small Quote
wraith Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 What about a gsxf or bandit cooler? Don't know if the b6 would be ok on a gsxr750 motor? 1 Quote

wraith Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 b6 = Bandit 600 coolers are not as wide or as high as a gsxf or gsxr b12 = Bandit 1200 coolers but bigger than the b6 cooler but still not as wide as the gsxf or gsxr. Most people go for a 17 row 330mm wide aftermarket cooler for a 750 or a 19 row for the 1100/1200 motors. If I get a chance and I remember I can get the measurements on a b6 and b12 cooler for you on Friday but like I say I'm not sure if the b6 would be big enough, so be worth asking the question. 1 Quote
