    The Beast!

    No pic for me either
  2. Don’t panic so much, do yourself a favour and have a look at a post by @Russ750ETCarb Rebuilding advise. There is a link to a carb manual (thanks BigT) which has all the info you should need to service your carbs. To keep things as simple as possible just put carbs and air filter back to standard and get the thing running.
  3. Great looking bike. Build thread would have been good though detailing the work you have put in to it. Because after all we do like pictures
  4. The skill set on this ere internet web thingy is just beyond measure
  5. What you need is one of these. Let me know if you're interested
  6. My head hurts I think you have posted that many different questions that are basically looking at the same issue, are causing some confusion. As people have said the Knackered throttle cable is probably not the main cause of your starting problems. And if the bike has been stood for a length of time the best thing to do is CLEAN and balance the carbs stick a new air filter on it and go from there.
  7. I think you have answered your own question. Something is obviously bent I thought @Swiss Tonipost was funny similar sense of humour i guess
  8. Very nice What happened to the build thread in the projects section
  9. Welcome to OSS. Totally agree with what’s already been said, “more build details required “
  10. I just used halfords VHT matt black for this one, the finish turned out great
  11. @wraithhas a nice Katana with an ET tail piece. I'm sure he'll be along with some pictures
  12. There you go that being prepared really does pay off Well done

    Hi There

    Hello and welcome
  15. The full disclosure of this nightmare is in a duplicate thread from a while ago but to cut a long story short, after taking on board some advice from the scholars of OSS land After some initial movement it was just not havin it so eventually Mr impatient turned up and I ended up with “err 2 very nice doorstops “
  16. When I can get back on to it, I’m doing something similar with my es. Regarding the foot rest mountings cut them off and make up new mounts. Then with the top shocker mount you have get creative with some tube to brace the frame and create a mounting for the shocker.
  17. Old topic. Let’s not re-live the nightmare
  18. Definitely EFE clocks Es clocks don't have the warning lamps down the sides, they are along the bottom. Similar shape though.
  19. If there is a code for the correct paint for the engine, I've never found it. Apparently smoothrite is a good enough paint to use but doesn't react very well to petrol. While i've been looking I was pointed in the direction of " Mipatherm" high temperature paint by @ral. I got mine from the bay of e. If you have a look at the topic GSX 1100 ET @ral there is a photo of the engine he has painted Looks good to me
  20. What makes you think they are 550es? They definitely came off my 750es
  21. Good to meet you today @Swirlhope the parts do the job
  22. Great looking bike, hope it puts a smile on ya face for a long time to come
