Carbs back from Allen’s Performance today,top job and not that expensive

Did a few bits and bobs before I had to collect my granddaughter.

Seat sub frame and clock frame back on,routed rear cables pipes etc.Fitted the oil tank and expansion tank ,once the front and rear ends are sorted,the engine can go back in.Then I just need to save for a rear shock and replacement rad ....

Sat in the sun had a few beers and cleaned and fitted the clocks into the new surround

Painted a few brackets to save a quid or 2

Torqued the front end ,refitted the mudguard,clocks secured and a few other odd jobs done,been a few weeks without much progress but rather ride when the weathers nice than spend time in the shed

Had a spare ten minutes so stuck the engine back in ,torqued up the bolts and paint marked so I don’t forget which ones I’ve already done

Got bored so stripped the original horn cleaned,painted and refitted saved me buying a new one at least

Fitted a few more bits while I waited for the paint to dry...rear indicators,bottom frame rail,rad brackets and rear light onto the newly painted bracket

Few more bits and bobs ticked off,side stand back on so off the workshop stand at last,Speedo cable and drive fitted did a little wiring then stuck the tank and seat on to remind me what it could look like.

Drank a few beers,got a sunburnt head and managed to fit some of the coolant hoses,refitted the clutch cover and set the clutch cable to.

Kickstart back on,just need to sort all the pipes and electrical spaghetti next weekend then carbs on

A bit more wiring and hoses secured,went to clean the rad ready for repainting and the core is fooked,oh bugger,so thought that’s it had enough today went to push the bike back into the shed and the newly built forks felt strange then I noticed the right hand leg was  leaking oil,this thing is determined not to get rebuilt......it’s a never ending pit of mula

Next job is to take the right fork leg out and replace the seal

Got a quote to recore the rad....£300 ouch this thing is going to break the bank for sure,it’s going to cost more than it’s worth at this rate......

some nice rads on Eblag from china for not much dosh. they seem to be of good quality too. less than 100 notes too!

need to onder one for my water bucket when funds allow. think it were mark up at £80.00 quid. may be more now as i havent looked for a while.

how do they make them for that? don't care, better for us i guess.

Wow that is ammmazzzzingly clean (yes I know its practically nut and bolt rebuild)

Carbs piped up and refitted,got the seized piston out the rear caliper to.

Paint stripper on the ready for a rebuild next week
