slimmer455 Posted Thursday at 10:45 PM Posted Thursday at 10:45 PM Hey everyone, I just picked up a 2005 Katana 750. Was wondering what phone mount do you guys use? Seems like most won't fit the handlebars. Thanks in advance. Quote
wraith Posted Thursday at 11:21 PM Posted Thursday at 11:21 PM They didn't make a 750 katana in 2005 2 Quote

Katanas were made in the 80s, that thing they sent to the US is not a Katana. Bars are standard 7/8", but don't think you have much spare room on them to mount anything. You do have a lot of blank plastic around your gauges that you could mount to. Check out phone mounts that use the steering stem, also most of us on here don't ride with phone mounts or have old GSXRs that have no room for a phone around the gauges. 3 Quote
wraith Posted Friday at 10:37 AM Posted Friday at 10:37 AM I think you can get ones that clamp to the yoke? Or have seen videos on FB with them fitted like that with different bikes. As said not really something you see meny OSS people using? Ps you're still using the word katana. It's a gsxf only RTFR Quote
Captain Chaos Posted Friday at 06:22 PM Posted Friday at 06:22 PM As said, not a Katana and real men don't use phones while riding. 4 Quote
slimmer455 Posted Friday at 08:00 PM Author Posted Friday at 08:00 PM Wow, I guess you know every backroad on the planet. Thanks for the insight. Quote
Captain Chaos Posted Friday at 08:57 PM Posted Friday at 08:57 PM When I'm lost I stop somewhere and ask someone for the road. Talking to real people is interesting, you should try it one day. 2 Quote
Captain Chaos Posted Friday at 08:58 PM Posted Friday at 08:58 PM Yes I've had a few beers today. Quote
slimmer455 Posted Friday at 09:08 PM Author Posted Friday at 09:08 PM I don't get lost with my phone. Maybe we should have a beer together, then I would have met a real person. Lol Quote
Dezza Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM Each to their own. I put a generic phone holder on my son's 125 and there's no way it would fit on the type of bars the same as a 750 teapot. I would have had to make a bespoke bracket. Otherwise it was a good quality and well designed product. The bar clamp came off so something could be made for more challenging applications. Also, because Suzuki put bloody great 'Katana' stickers on several oil-cooled models for the US market, the owners of these models referring them as 'Katanas' seems pretty understandable to me. Which I suppose is ironic seeing as the original aircooled 1100/1000 Katanas never had the word 'Katana' on them at all . Quote

wraith Posted yesterday at 05:49 PM Posted yesterday at 05:49 PM I still use one of them old things, a paper map book Always a good reason to stop for a coffee to look at it, and to be honest, some of my best rides on country back roads have been when I've taken a wrong turn Not having a go each to there own Quote
wobblegob Posted yesterday at 06:46 PM Posted yesterday at 06:46 PM I had a quadlock with stem mount on my OTHER bike (nothing on the gsxr) it now has a carpuride in its place Quote
Jonny Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I bought a quadlock one that mounted in the top of the steering stem of my Busa. It worked really well and I used it to navigate all the way to Spain and back. 1 Quote
