  1. If you are going to fit the cam to cam style feeds, only ever take the main feed from the main oil gallery at the bottom of the motor. If you take it from the rocker cover you will have reduced oil pressure at the head as that feed is for the cooling system side of the pump.
  2. May be possible that weekend, id have to see how many bikes to bring though lol
  3. Ive seen them before. defo a factory thing but no idea why
  4. May struggle with this one but ill let you know
  5. Not gonna lie. I like a squeaky clean bike, in my own opinion, if you're going to "show" your bike, i like to see bikes that the owners take pride in. I see enough rat bikes in my line of work that seeing them at a show wouldnt interest me but each to their own
  6. In MY opinion, if you are building an engine that "warrents" the need for aftermarket rods, then you're already spending big money, so dont cheap out on the rods either, buy Wossner or Carillo.
  7. Good question, in my own opinion.......nothing. But I suppose the good bits are that although I have built it to promote my business and what I can do, its also a personal bike so there was no time limit and no expense spared. Aside from the engine and cdi setup which is the 2nd stage of the build for later this year, everything is pretty much new, every bearing, seal, bolt, brackets, subframes, fairings, brakes, tyres etc etc, Even the clocks are NOS 0 mile clocks, so it was built to be better than what id be able to buy (athough I could have bought one for what ive spent to date). Its got the SP forks with YSS springs, YSS rear suspension, Accossato master cylinders, most of the bracketry is all carbon fibre, nearly all the bolts now are titanium, its super light for a road bike and built to handle as good as one can. I havent been on the forum much in recent years just due to life and work, but ill do a build thread when I get time. I never did one or even put it on any social media platforms so no one knew what I was building.
  8. Realy enjoyed this weekend, its been over 10 years since I attended a show with OSS due to racing commitments and it was nice for a change of pace and to be able to chill for a weekend. Im glad you all liked the little RGV, its taken a couple of years to build but it was 100% worth it and apart from the GSX1700 dragbike, id say its my best build to date, defo a keeper. Big thanks to Paul for the invite, and great to meet up with Havoc, Wee Man, Dodge, Rossco, Bow, Claire, Jay etc etc.
  9. Beleive it or not, there is no real "easy" way to convert to carbs on these, its doable for sure, but theres alot of other factors in doing it. The kit I am designing will allow plug and play into the stock wiring loom and allow both full EFI tunability, or to still be used on carbs. It will also have a multitude of additional input and output functions which will be fully programable. As for engine tuning, i have almost sorted out some engine componants which once I have actually built up a spare motor and run it, i will be able to offer these for general sale too. Unfortunately it is going to be at least the summer till all of this is sorted.
  10. Yes that would be me, sorry i dont frequent the forum as much as I used to back in the day. Our 1400 runs a carbed setup although I have built it to convert to EFI should I wish. Recent dyno results showed well over 200hp at the wheel. Due to the lack of tuning parts available for these motors, I am currently in the process of designing and building engine and electronics parts for these motors which will be available hopefully this summer which will realy open up the possibilities of what can be done as we have been developing our own race motor for the past 7 years and think its time to move some of this knowledge into road going machines
  11. do it. then keep it origonal
  12. as stated above, for stock engines, probably no need but a must for tuned motors on my nitrous bike i run a an10 breather from the oil filler cap and a modified breather cover with an8 which all terminate into a catch tank and in 3 seasons of racing it has never put so much as a drop of oil into the catch tank
  13. Not bad for the first full power pass of the season, even with excessive wheelspin for the whole track and a shit 60ft. cant wait for next year now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYdjAUzOtY0&feature=youtu.be
  14. WarpSpeed Racing in the UK do the lockup units
  15. Ur options are 2 stage, multistage, multistage gen2, full slider. Also, the multistage lockup is only available for the diaphram clutch Me personally, im a fan if the slider clutch. They are for drag racing only tho
  16. Converting a GSXR diaphram clutch to a 4 spring is absolutely fucking pointless. Never had an issue with the diaphram clutches on any of our bikes and some of them were using lockups. Not to mention the earlier gsxr inner hubs are softer and are more prone to wearing grooves in them from the steel plates Bandit clutches just replace all the 1.5mm steel plates for 2mm gsxr steel plates. Job done
  17. True that.....altho imagine how quick it can go using even half a bottle
