Could you make a mounting plate at the hole pitch you require, then tap a thread to accept a on/off tap? Budget pingle stylee.

Come winter yes, at the moment just want the bike back on the road. Can get a cheep gsx600/750f tape new for around £15 that may do for the rest of summer xD

Thunderace fits iirc but think it's vacuum as well

Had a look on that site, and yes it's a on/off tap :D, I've sent a message to some of the sellers and asked for them to confirm it's a 44mm bolt hole spacing.

See if any get back to me xD

Thanks for the info (y)

I just fit an 1100W petcock to my 750, had been running one of the cheap aftermarket ones but I needed a reserve again. $64 on Eblag vs $230 for an OEM 750 one. They need a vacuum line though. Couldn’t you cap the vacuum hole and use reserve and on to turn it on and off? Last time I rebuilt a stock Mikuni I did notice that prime and reserve pulled from the same inlet in the tank.

Also try searching on Eblag for the individual part numbers for the Pingel setup, found a NOS one recently with the petcock and adapter plate for $40 from a dealership that was clearing out its old stock, listing was for the adapter plate part number. The Pingel twin outlets are also going for around $60 now.

Are you going to buy several taps and keep them 'in stock' for future projects?

Oh, I just bought what I currently need, needed the Pingel for an 11/12 with RS38s that I'm building. I've noticed those carbs are right at the limit of stock petcocks. Also any time I pull out an old petcock from my spares, they usually leak as they sat for too long with crap gas in them. I've learned the rebuild kits don't work when the inside is all oxidized.

It was more that I was bored and searching through Eblag after a few(too many) beers and got lucky with my searches. Pingel setup for $40 and an OEM ignition with keys for $80 from the same place.

As a matter of interest, do you know the actual cost of posting by e.g. USPS an item such as a Pingel fuel tap from the US to the UK? Most of the listings in the US have postage costs for bike parts so idiotically high they preclude actually buying the item. The postage cost given is often 50% or higher the cost of the item. Is it really that expensive? :)

And then you have to pay to receive it. btdt with some 2t silencers.
