Dezza
I was amazed to find out that if you don't want red tops and a little Yoshimura sticker on them, TMRs are a grand cheaper . 1 Quote Link to comment
Joseph
Unless it's for a hyper tuned track bike and you're one hell of a rider, (so if none of that applies and it's just for a road bike), Mikuni RS will be plenty good enough, and of course, the cheapest Quote Link to comment

vizman
You’d be better off with fuel injection, carbs are not that refined, and the 3 you’ve listed are more race oriented anywhoo Quote Link to comment

Foz
My knees are right against the ridge on the side of the tank instead of below them , I don’t think they are meant for 6’2 people Quote Link to comment
RGSX
Unless you're building a track bike RS is all you require for good street performance, 36RS on my efe Quote Link to comment
no class
the rs are ok.... but they lack the smooth operation like fcr’s . 1 Quote Link to comment
MeanBean49
Spose if you want smooth running refinement but not a modern bike, wants some standard CV's on it, thats why cv's were invented, because they make running much smoother and more refined than carbs that only have a slide. 2 Quote Link to comment
vizman
They’re probably only going on a Blandit, might as well stick two Amals on it 4 Quote Link to comment
vizman
Nice, are you selling? Quote Link to comment
Dezza
Fancy carbs = pub bragging rights, which trumps practicality. TMR > FCR > RS > BST 38 > stock BST. 1 Quote Link to comment
vizman
Not necessarily, some people on here use fancy things in anger. 1 Quote Link to comment
no class
as far as the super exotic and pricey TMR’s go.......the FCR’s out-performed them in the slingy track bike post . 1 Quote Link to comment

Yup, and in all honesty unless your at top level and every minimal gain makes a difference, your money is better spent on good suspension and time on setup. I went back to bst's with my race bike because the 3bhp I gained at peak was not worth the constant fettling and maintenance to keep it running right. Good smooth consistant reliable performance from standard carbs makes much more sense to me. 4 Quote Link to comment
