DiggerHampshire Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Good afternoon all, My first post here, so hello to you all. I'm after some knowledge that someone here undoubtedly will have. I've seen a couple of pictures of a B12 with spoked wheels/rims, does anybody know what rims will fit in a standard frame? modification isn't out of the question, but will have to be twin disc still. Thanks in advance! Quote
wraith Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Welcome to OSS Anything will fit with modifications but as a straight swap with now messing i don't know but someone will be along to point you in the right way Quote
Dezza Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Spoked wheels? Have deep pockets and/or wheel building skills Twin front disc - Z1000, 900, gs750, some Ducati air cooled models, KTM adventure. Rear disc the same, if you can afford them as the prices of even just hubs are silly, probably because the brown seat cover exhaust bandage bearded lot fit them on much that they ruin. 3 Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 (edited) These cost a fortune i built them for my harris, then fitted them to a bandit, lots of spacers and bearing swoping involved, the rear wass a one off 5.5 inch rim i had made.!!!! Dezza Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) And some Triumph hubs, as pictured above by the look of it Oh, and the Yamaha XTZ750 Super Tenere has a spoked twin disc front hub and a rear disc brake. Edited September 3, 2019 by Dezza Quote
bluedog59 Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 The problem with the Triumph rear hub is it's 40 spoke and only takes a "dinner plate" disc. Spoke wheels can look Uber cool but can very expensive or slightly less expensive with ingenuity, ability and patience. Quote
DiggerHampshire Posted August 31, 2019 Author Posted August 31, 2019 thanks for the replies guys, let me find the bike in question as they were a straight fitment apparently! Quote
Dezza Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 You're unlikely to find any wheels (or anything else for that matter) that 'just bolts on' unless it has been made specifically for that model as an after market product (wheels will be VERY expensive) or someone has already modifed/made up a set for that bike (expensive). imago Posted August 31, 2019 Posted August 31, 2019 Late 2000's Ducati classic are quite close apparently, but as others have mentioned above, deep pockets will be required. If you fit Ducati stuff you'll also need to plan ahead as the Bandit will probably end up contaminated by electrical gremlins. Quote

Jonny Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Hard to find but I believe the simplest fit would be Kwaka Zephyr 1100 spoked rims. I passed up a pair on blag for £300 a couple of years ago and am still kicking myself of it. Quote

That cost £300 on its own.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Askamaskinservice Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Well, Ditchpump guys have a lot of rims to choose from,............ Quote
