  1. Oh I'll fancy it alright, but I have a small window to get everything moved out of the old workshop and container and into the new one. Then sorted and set up ready to start earning again because on top of the increased costs there's a period of not earning a penny for over a month to contend with. Worth it in the end, but it's going to sting for a bit.
  2. I'm not sure, I think they're the same set up but can't remember if they are whether the head side ID is the same. It's a very long time since I had anything to do with a GS1000.
  3. Fitting a set of VM 29 Smoothbores to a 16v GSX head. Are there suitable rubbers or is it a case of pinching down the existing rubbers?
  4. Just as confirmation @PaulmI definitely won't be coming as I've just had the call about the new workshop and I should be getting the keys a week or so before then. So I'll be running around like an idiot trying to get everything moved and set up.
  5. So often overlooked (I'm as guilty as anyone else) as you're tempted to dig in before checking the cable.
  6. I think it was because he wasn't there on the Friday/Saturday to get it into his car. No worries, I remembered the alternator and starter too.
  7. I have no idea how I ended up tagging you in it? Whatever, tell it to the judge. Guilty by association.
  8. That's the 750 waiting for collection.
  9. I get what you and a couple of others were saying about the welding on the arm being more purposeful than pretty, but I really like the look of that arm. Harvest the slots for your Spondon arm and replace them with something else and that arm and frame would be the beginnings of something good IMHO.
  10. Arrived back at the OSS camp this morning. If ever a picture summed up the morning after the night before for OSS at a show this is it. @Havoc
  11. @gsxwith his trophy awarded to him by @Paulmfor the "Best Katana on the OSS stand".
  12. The Dresda custom offset discs arrived today from All Bike Engineering. Top class work.
  13. Loaded up ready for Stafford. The first time it's left the workshop since I got it.
  14. Agree with all of the post, especially those two points as they are exactly the reason I went for a draw through. The first/main question is, what do you want to use it for most often?
  15. Now that it's off the ramp and getting shoved about I can see the Dresda from more natural angles. The RG tail is definitely staying, it really suits the bike IMHO. Still undecided about a Harris style fairing or naked with a big round headlamp. GSX 1100 G for scale.
  16. That's the order I did the rear wheel work for the Dresda, a month ago. I still haven't sorted the hanger. I keep looking at it and pondering whether it would be simpler/quicker/easier to stick with the hanger I have and get a disc to suit.
  17. You sometimes go onto auto-pilot with stuff like that. Strip it down, check all the plates carefully, see what the springs and back plate are like, check the basket for ridges and don't even glance at the inner. Shit happens, you've found the issue.
  18. More? Some would have done. Not sure if I've got one of these but I can have a rummage Monday for you?
  19. Bandit 1250 throttle bodies go straight onto the air cooled head using the air cooled rubbers which you just rotate a touch to suit. This is a set on the ET engine in the Dresda. (I was pondering options at the time.)
  20. "Take much" rather than "cost much". As soon as you start dicking about with bikes the bills come thick, large and fast.
  21. I don't doubt it, with stuff like that there's usually one main factor and a host of other bits that contribute or make things worse. Over all though it doesn't seem to take much to get a TL into a serious superbike territory. One of a few bikes I've always fancied but never owned.
  22. It was (almost) entirely down to that rotary damper which when it was worked hard stopped damping.
  23. Absolutely no reason for this photo other than the sun came out.

Hopefully you'll get a few hours in before monsoon season continues.
