  1. Wonder why they call them motorcycles??.
  2. Slingshot 750s and 1100s are line bored the same so its fairly straight forward to build an 1100 into 750 cases. does it have a 6 speed gearbox?
  3. It could be the return in the master cylinder on the handlebars, if you take the cover off and operate the clutch you should be able to see it return. there is usually a little baffle there to stop it squirting right up just pull that out of the way and operate the clutch, if it does not return all the fluid every time you pull it in it will just jack the piston on the slave out further hence the bent tin plate.
  4. Dean the painters new bike at Aintree test day.
  5. primary reduction ratio 1.565 [72/46]. final reduction ratio 3.200 [48/15]. 1st 2.384 [31/13]. 2nd 1.631 [31/19]. 3rd 1.250 [25/20]. 4th 1.045 [23/22]. 5th 0.913 [21/23]. these are for an 1127 I believe the 1052 is the same.
  6. I use a 6 speed in mine, have done for years this particular one has done 2 classic TTs silver rep in both races and finished 4th in the pre TT classic on the southern 100 course. you really need to use the gsxr gearbox rather than the teapot as 1st gear is taller and the gears are stronger.
  7. The starter clutch may have come loose, take l/h engine cover off and check.
  8. 226 miles and two pit stops later back safe
  9. This one same race at Ballacrye

This 887 looks like nick Jefferies to me . the Jefferies on his leathers is a bit of a clue.
  13. Fuel tank not mounted correctly.
  14. yes 1127 with tappit adjusters.
  15. That sounds like a big end to me, if you take all 4 spark plugs out and r/h engine cover then turn engine over with a spanner get each of the pistons in turn to go over tdc so they are going down then take a long screwdriver through the plug hole rest gently on top of the piston then push down if you hear or feel movement then assume its the big end. do each one in turn remember the piston has to be decending.
  16. If you had say a 16t 630 front sprocket then you just replace it with a 16t 530 same goes for the rear if it was 44 then replace it with 44 as with the chain if it was 110 links then replace it with 110.
  17. Long stroke mains are 33mm, short stroke mains are 34mm if I remember correctly, 1100 crank will go into short stroke cases I have done it.
  18. Those are deffo restrictor washers was always taking them out on bikes that came in for first service.
  19. That seal will just pull out there is no lip on it to hold it in , but as been said be carefull the gear shaft does not go in as it could become disengaged from the selector drum gear. that's not really a problem but you would probably have to remove the clutch to put it back in.
  20. Ant is right mains are 33mm from memory.
