Sent you a text mate. Sorted ;-)

Well heres the start, got a frame, tank and swingarm that will firm the basis of the project. I also picked up this awfully nice pukka big bore yoshi system for a reasonable amount of pennies. Will get the dummy engine from my lockup this weekend and start offering up

Awesome. Cant wait to see it

Better everywhere
-
To be honest i find the 36mm gsxr carbs better than these anyway
-
Nice idea, but if i were to argue that i would be told to build an 85 gsxr 750 lol
-
Just says in the rules that no flatslides unless origional fitment. Think im on top of carbs. Got some gsxr 36's and rubbers that fit them to air cooled head
-
Not allowed to use them unfortunately.

So it seems like its all systems go to build a bike to compete in the 4 hour Endurance Legends event on May 6-7th. Plan is to shoehorn an air cooled 8v motor into a modified slabby 11 frame to create a fairly convincing XR41 replica. I can then use 43mm rwu forks, 120/180 17" tyres and 4 pot brakes. So handling and stopping should be pretty good Engine spec is to remain fairly modest, the focus being mainly on reliability and useable grunt. Picked my frame up from Vizman yesterday, ive got a tank, engine is pretty much sorted and im fairly sure i can piece together a front end and matching rear wheel so it shouldnt take too long to get it rolling. Bits that need aquiring are carbs, exhaust, a good race shock and some bodywork mainly. Should all be fairly easy to source. I best get cracking :-) Oh yeah, i think it would be quite fitting to call it "The Flying Hammer" any thoughts?

S-rad or k series 600 forks are really good if you want to keep it rwu, s-rad let you use same calipers. Zx9r c1 model forks are good and cheap too
-
The white 4 and 6 pin connectors you get on Eblag are the same as gsxr cdi's. Just use the male half and plug straight in
-
Oh ok. Let me know when you got some :-)
-
Looks good mate. Gone busa rods as well as pistons this time? Reckon those red drain tubes are sapping at least 15bhp tho. I just need spacer plate and my new motor will be finished too. See what difference big valve ported head makes. Is it next year yet?
