  1. a GSXR slingshot will fit the bandit lower yoke and using the bandit bearings, you might have to modify the lock stops though. this is my 750ET with a B12 front end
  2. will a shorter spacer not sort it or will the sprocket bolts on the carrier hit the swinger ? whats the chain alignment like ?
  3. the hole in the calliper hanger can easily be bored out to 20mm if it isn't already 20mm. but looking at the pic of the calliper and hanger they look to long for the smaller disc you have ? if you want the calliper on top then maybe a bandit hanger and a GS 500 calliper might be the way to go as they have the calliper on top.
  4. thats the way
  5. result
  6. to tell you the truth ive always been happy with a standard B12 engine but with a good can on. i wouldn't mind a touch more and better fuel consumption but its not on my importance list, im not a speed freak i just like the grunt, what is important though is a bike that looks the dogs danglies, handles pretty good and stops. im a bit of a poser and like it when people look at the bike, and i even go past shop windows so i can see how it looks when im on it yeah i know im a sad fucker
  7. this is where the bandit and inazuma (and others) make life a piece of piss to get an engine in and out
  8. yeah thats true, i think a 1200 bandit engine in a naked bike is plenty, they are good for 140mph but who at nearly 60 can handle that speed without a fairing ? i know i can't. but having the low/mid range grunt is great
  9. will do.
  10. big thanks to duckndive for sorting me out with a set of clocks, thanks bud
  11. two 6mm bolts at the top of the front airbox, once they are removed the airbox will drop out of the way it might help taking the two chrome end covers off as well.
  12. have you undone the front airbox bolts ? once they are off the front part of the airbox will move back enough to pull the carbs out.
  13. get yourself a mechanics stethoscope, makes life a lot easier to pin point an engine noise. i swear by mine.
  14. are they for sale ?
  15. yeah ive used the Halfords stuff a few times, its pretty good
  16. sorted now, cheers Zed
  17. fair enough
  18. ha ha yeah. when they first came out i hated the look of the big ugly headlight and clocks, but over the years taste's change and they just look right on an ET
  19. why is that bike called a katana ?
  20. i think you need to go to a different petrol station
  21. i know ET clocks are very rare to get hold of but i was thinking ( yeah dangerous ) the gsx550 clocks are similar'ish to the ET's , has anyone used a set on their ET ? im not bothered about it being correct as long as it looks right.

    No spark

you shouldn't have battery voltage to both wires to the coil, one has 12v the other is the trigger from the CDI. sounds like a short !!!
  23. never seen carbs that crapped up before and ive cleaned a few. looks like grinding paste
  24. worth a try
