it could have been the "too stiff" rear suspension causing the issues on mine

will the weight of the fairing on the yokes affect the handling at all? I done the same on my last bike, it tended to wiggle a bit once near 3 figures on full throttle

have cut the stem before, tapped inside of both halves and fitted a new section with threads on either side, if your wanting to do in house, do it that way, use one long thread to join them with a spacer, also tapped to suit thread ?

are you fitting the airbox?

get the fibre glass matting out, make the tank you have more pleasing to the eye , pick up a spare tank if you don't want to fuck up the one you have

use a decent powdercoater and it'll be readable

never had any issue welding slabby frames

been playing with more choobs, while the donor bike is from the correct manufacturer, its vintage isn't , so I'll leave it at this

think I've fitted R6 shocks to 2 slabbys, a GT550, a TL1000 and a Z1 , quite versatile things

about 8.5:1 I think, no fun without turbo
