  1. That’s where my last two came from (US). It’s the postage that’s the killer!

Make one! Gasket material (or Cornflakes box). Place on top of cam box, tap lightly with small ball pein hammer round edges. Use small ball bearing in holes and tap gently. Simples!
  3. Greetings! Pop over to ‘General’ and say hello properly! You’ll get a far better response by doing that! Plenty of 500/550 info at your fingertips. Go on ... don’t be shy! We don’t bite ... usually!
  4. @homerSo what’s the three ‘pips’ and the 2 for?
  5. Stick a bit oil or moly on the stems when you fit the valves.
  6. Yes, you may have a point there. I never noticed the angle at the head.
  7. Nice looking pipes. They look as if they’ll be a closer fit underneath than the Ti ones!
  8. H’away, keeper. Divent give the Geordies a bad name. Hadaway and RTFR ... and welcome!
  9. Firm push, as 1460 says. Just enough to expand the wire clip. Any force, you’ll deform the seal. Tiny amount of lube on the lip won’t hurt either. If engine’s going to stand a while, bit Moly on the valve stems on assembly a good idea too!
  10. And, if you’re worried about the frame mounts being slightly wider than the swinger ... don’t! That’s normal. The frame will ‘pull in’ when you tighten the bolt!
  11. I have an EFE arm in the garage. I’ll measure it for you tomorrow. Pin size? I can’t remember!
  12. Cheers, mate! Certainly helps when you move in the right circles!
  13. @DuckndiveAnywhere I can find out more, Clive?
  14. Can anyone say if this is OE paintwork on 1100ET?The man himself! 50ples!
  15. @BigTIt’s Suzuki. Came out of a full set. Cometic base gasket in its own is slightly cheaper than OE. @ArttuI also have a metal base gasket, but it looks very thin. That’s why I previously posted to ask if they were laminated. If it was your choice, which would you use?
