Alright boys and girls, had a chat today with Nick @Allspeedsabout the dyno day,we have settled on the date of Sunday August 29th so put it in your diaries. The venue will be at Nicks shop Allspeeds Motorcycles and Classic Scooters,16-18 Gladstone Lane,YO12 7BP,Scarborough,price will be £30 per run (power run).We need people to commit to doing this for it to be a viable proposition for Nick, depending on numbers there could be a burger van arranged and also the use of a small car parking area of one of the local businesses.I'll say a start time of 9am but this is to be confirmed.Had my bike on his dyno twice now, highly recommended,he's knowledgeable and very helpful(you can pay me later Nick)Any questions ask away.I would say we need at least 12 people to commit to a run for it go ahead
Count me in @Paulm see if the ef likes a good spanking.or my guts fall out

I had a similar problem years back when I was young and even more stupid than I am today, with my old efe fuel cap. At high revs the motor was bogging down so dopey here, to test my vent blockage theory decides to remove the cap flat out on a long bumpy straight local to where I lived.
I was rewarded for my stupidity ( as anybody whose ridden these with standard running gear will testify) with an almighty tank slapper followed by a good head to foot dousing of petrol, when I finally got the fucker stopped I spent the next twenty minutes looking through the undergrowth for the offending cap. Lesson learned!
@eddiegsx its far from standard. Just trying to see if theres a secondry vent before i get a big drill out or the tank pops after its stopped whistling for an hour after running it

Yes it vents through the cap but not actually via the key bit.
From memory:
Under the small hole under the flip up lid of the cap; there is a rubber mushroom shaped bit acting as the actual vent
That might be slightly disformed.
Thank you @Blubberwill check this out later

May sound like a Dumb question bud does anyone know if the tank vents thru the key slot.as the cap whistles like a kettle once ive been out.ps bikes turboed.any remedies or cap replacements appreciated.

The stand got plenty of attention over the weekend so we must be doing something right, here’s to the next one.
