  3. mine were 775mm when i measured them before changing them
  4. the spokey wheels weren't for the bandit they were for this
  5. Right after many days with no chance to do any stuff in the garage, mudguard fitted and new 30' angled brake hose ends fitted all bled up its just about done, I'm 99% sure there is JUST enough clearance between mudguard and oil cooler, new stiffer linear spring for my weight on the way to sort the sag out, just need some shinny bolts and fasteners and time for a test flight.. If there isnt enough clearance then a new top yoke will need to be made
  6. your push rods too short, get a longer one, what length is the one in there
  7. Where's Manchester?? is it north of Bristol???

  9. Being a cheapskate ive done things the least expensive way, ive done 2 b12's with 750 Dot heads and cams, race cans and pod filters and both gave 135ish rwhp and rev like a bastard compared to the standard 1200. cheap as chips as I got a complete gsxr 750 k engine with shagged gearbox for £50 But My heron B12 has 1216 J and E high comp pistonks, Mr uppertons head, Kent cams, full Akropovic system and 36mm mukkey roonies all set up and did 149.5 rwhp last time on the dyno, has been totally reliable fro the last 5 years. And the clutch is fine, when I raced my1200 years ago I had a EBC race clutch that lasted 3 laps of practice and full Barnett race one that actually lasted one meeting!!!! On the advice of someon on here who drag raced one, I fitted genuine Suzuki steels and fibers with one barmett H/D spring and its been in there ever since, I had it out 3 years ago to measure it all and it was spot on..............
  10. yes they are 38mm, a few screws missing I have pinched for other carbs, never used so will need a good clean, but then they will be cheap, make me an offer
  11. 38,s i think?? they are in a box somewhere in the garage.. ill have a look
  12. Here you go , I stupidly bought a set ( Eb*y whilst drunk didn't read it right) ages ago and as you can see they don't fit, I did try every configuration of rubbers.. Apparently the trick was to fit 2 of the oil cooled rubbers upside down, Buggered if I could make it work. tried them all ever which way and couldn't make them work, so reverted to oil colled carbs
  13. If you have a bandit stem in a slingy USD bottom yoke its worth shed loads, ive seen them go for £75 or more... Not on here obviously but on a certain auction site we aren't supposed to mention, as to machining the stem its not difficult, as long as you can cut the threads well, as they are very fine. But much more cost effective to sell the bandit stem
  14. Yes the b12 is tooo long but don't wreck it by machining it , get a slingy one and press it in, the b12 ones are always easy to flog due to people doing the swop the other way and fitting slingy forks to bandits, i had a slingy stem until a few weeks ago and gave it to someone on here,, much easier to find than good b12 stems.. heres one i did earlier, slingy stem on the left bandit 1200 on the right
  15. All the spacers on my Harris are made by me out of ally, wheels aint fell off yet
  16. Im still not 100% sure about them?? i still like yhe white ally wheels that were on there

  19. there are letters stamped on the right hand end, somewher in the vault is z thread all about the letters and which engine they come from
  20. Hooo fekin Rayyyyyyyyy had it running for 10 minutes and no smoke, so looking good, seems like it was combination of small problems and me expecting it to smoke, caused the smokeyness.
  21. GV73B just means a four cylinder four stoke of 1100-1199 cc 3rd generation of the engine, so not much help, look at the pictures here of the model years and see if you can spot it, http://www.suzukicycles.org/All-Suzuki/all_suzuki_models.html
