  1. Its going to be a few weeks yet, as work and visiting relatives is getting in the way!! Track day booked in 5 weeks so it needs to be sorted, that's if the engine is a non smoker this time
  2. what exhaust..????? if its b12 down pipes and a race can go up 10% on mains as a satrt point
  3. do the easy things first, disconnect the cable at the handlebar switch, it must be slack then, if still revving wind the tick over screw right out, if still no joy check for air leaks, do all this before removing the carbs.
  4. If the b12 is standard the filters wont make a farts worth of difference apart from make them more difficult to get to run right, stick with the airbox until its modified
  5. I haven't as I sort of made it up as I went along, but when ive fitted the callipers and ensure its all good, ill do a drawing and post it here
  6. Got a bit more doen, I had a tiny oil leak from the front sprocket area, been ignoring it, found this when I took the neutral switch out to swop them,!! swoped the pick ups over as well, bandit on left gsx power screen on right.. I used to be able to lift the enginjes up and down off my bench on my own,, not any more. old age setting in, needed another fatbloke to help anyway its in!!
  7. I purchased a good set of 1999 750 SRAD forks off of a certain auction site for the massive sum of £41 as my 750 L/M forks in me bandit need rebuilding/sorting so I though stick these in whilst my gold ones are rebuilt. Ive made a set of spacers for someone else once so I got a bit of bar and whizzed up a pair of spacers to let the bandit/slingshot front wheel fit the srad forks.. just need a peg to stop the speedo drive rotating and check the calipers line up and off we go.. anyone need measurements just ask
  8. Merci Paul, might have to turbo it one day And who says fatbloke's cant fly
  9. Ive had 2 sets of Dyna coils, admittedly both second hand, and both failed, one completely and one with a really annoying intermittent misfire that I could not find, The coils on my 1216 high comp bandit are the original ones, I know as I had the bike new, they are 18 years old and work perfectly.. Whats the attraction of car type stick coils??
  10. Its clean as the picture was taken half way through building it a few years ago , its close to the tyre as the front bolts not even done up, and yes it dose clear the tyre by loads, standard bandit torque arm wont fit as its not a bandit....
  11. thanks for the offer matey, but Mr mcmental has them all in hand and don't forget you can have a go on me bandit anytime
  12. just swop the switches over then you will have the 1 wire one you need, I do it when I swop my harris engines as ive got a mark 2 loom,,
  13. right did a bit more, swopped all the shinny bits over to the power screen 1216 engine, alternator drive gears different teeth, and as I want to keep all the leccy stuff plug and play, I swooped the gears, lick of paint and in go the alternator and starter motor, the neutral switch needs to be changed and that's it
  14. 1100 slingy are 760-750mm ish depending on year, 750 slingy are 740-725mm ish ive got a set of 735mm 750 l/m ones on my bandit and they were fine until I fitted a fatter cooler and went on a track, at full compression at the hairpin at Pembray with a fat bloke hard ( panicking) on the brakes the mudguard touched the cooler, if you are a small sized child and have a standard thickness cooler that should be OK. I got over the problem by welding 2 top yokes together to gain back 20mm or so, of course there was a lot of Tut Tut'ing, and head shacking and " that will never last" " It will snap off and you will die"" How much height do you need is 20mm enough?? could weld a couple together?? ive got a couple of 43mm sling/bandit top yokes in the big box of bits I think Funny old thing that was in 2008 and I think I can safely say it don't handle bad and its never snapped off and killed me
  15. So your sump leaks like an old pussers submarine, dose it shipmate
  16. bugger me that's shiney
  17. the 2 gsxr 1100 sets ive fitted to bandits were 52mm top and 56mm bottom, swopped stems over in the yokes drilled and tapped 2 x 8mm holes for bolts for lock stops and in they went, then you can use the bandit 1200 wheel, discs, callipers, spindle and speedo drive, all you need is 4 x 2mm spacers to get the callipers to line up with discs, f you use slingy discs then you don't need them heres some I made earlier for a 1200 mark 1 bandit, they were 1100 S 95 if I remember correctly
  18. Yes i saw one a while ago, if they had them over here id buy one
  19. What size is the sensor thread??. Ive drilled a web on thr sump and fitted a P clip to hold it al, out of the way, then fed the wire up with the neutral switch wiring....
  20. Mark 1 B12 and slingshots are the same 32006's as stella said 30x55x17
  21. They aren't mark 1 bandit 600's, as they didn't have the remote tick over adjuster, look like late Tpot 600's, upside down TPS and all..
