No, the engine number doesn't tell you the year, V = 1100-1199cc 7 = 4 stroke 4 cyl, and 20 is the 20th generation of the engine.. you can tell if its mark 1 1996-2000 or mark 2 2001 - 2006ish, by the pairs and electric speedo pick up.

If the motor is standard b12 then that is way too big on mains..stick the clip in he middle and go 125 - 130 ish as a starting point, or stop all the agro and get it set up on a dyno.

can I swap 6" rear wheel for bandit? gsxr1100 wheel?
fatblokeonbandit replied to boilerdude's topic in Oil Cooled
are we talking bandit frames?? if so ive done it a few times, for no good reason than looks good not difficult with acess to a lathe, i found it eadier to fit a whole gsxr 1000 swinger and wheel.. i have pictures but cant acess them until i get back from me hols -
Unfortunately if ì am to renew my acu licence and have one last go at proddy racing with the CRMC, it will probably have to go to fund it???
-
cant see why it would affect it

yup straight swop, the 3 little screws are loctited in and made of cheese, so plan on replacing them.. neutral switch two screws, mind the spring and plunger dosent fall out, alternator just swops, bearing in mind the drive gear engagement problem.. i used mark 2 bandit clocks so wanted the spedo sensor to work, so fitted a mk2 600 sprocket cover with the leccy sensor, and drilled and tapped the gearbox shaft and fitted the castelated rotor..
-
easy peasy, get a mark 2 pick up, neutral switch and alternator and all wil be fine no chopping plugs all fits together simples. oh yes you need to attatch the speedo pjck up to the output shaft,u less you have a speedo drive on the front wheel and mark 1 clocks??

Yes but an akra costs nearly as much as the flippin bike??????? anyway, hugger or no hugger??????
