  1. ET bike is all about being consistent " repeatability" and knowing your bike but like any class there is "sociology" Many years ago there was a Guy who ran a bog stock aged VW beetle in one of the ET Car brackets it ran 24 sec 1/4s and he was almost impossible to beat ... The class no longer exists in its old form and i think there is a time out on the ET clocks now ...
  2. Easiest way is to do a few RWYBs at the pod to see how quick and consistent you are You can then make a plan .... and what you dial in at may be variable eg track conditions and also who's in the other lane for a particular round ... Did i mention sandbagging LoL ......
  3. What about getting a good fabricator to morff a 850 or 1000 clutch mechanism onto a 750 cover
  4. other way round they would end up above the deck..... GSXR pin height is lower than GSX pin height i,ll dig some out and do a pic
  5. They have different pin heights ... I,ve built 1230 / 1260 EF motors using stock GSXR pistons and you have to deck the block as they sit 2,mm "ish" in the hole
  6. A knack you were good at clutch god
  7. Gear Change Shaft
  8. Since that interview It now has a full billet motor $$$$$$$$$$$
  9. No Excuses go hard or go home
  10. Or think out the box and put a Oil Boiler Shaftie in it.............
  11. Dept on how you value "£ " the head really...and how much effort you want to put in But as you said covers . alternators swop with a gear change ..not sure on starter ...but starter clutch fits others as does ignition plate Good running 750s can be a cheap hop up for a 600 blandit
  12. Frame was built by Al Smith well known TF Bike Rider , Fabricator and Engineer
  13. Yeap your 1st challenge will be getting the studs out
  14. 1260 needs cases bored for the thicker liners as will the block
  15. BUT ALL THE OIL COMES FROM AND RETURNS TO THE SAME PLACE SO THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS UNFILTERED OIL THERE IS ONLY LOW PRESSURE AND HIGH PRESSURE OIL
  16. Agreed Ian But there is only "Truly Unfiltered Oil" the 1st time you start it after an oil change for about 10 seconds after that it's a free for oil "pun intended" My Initial concern was from what i seen when i pulled the head of "Should have took a pic" where the o rings were very tight on the studs and forced into the stud holes in the big block which made me think I have since put it back together with new o-rings and MLS gasket "the new suzuki 0-rings were not overly tight on the studs so i am less concerned now...
  17. Yes i,ve seen the oil diagram but at the end of the day it will mix with oil from the rocker feeds in the head and returns to the sump with that oil via the cam chain tunnel and front drains so at some point it must get to the filter ... !
  18. Just read that again on PC Where does the "unfiltered oil" come from then and how does it remain that way
  19. I never said I was going to did I ? You may want to read my original post
  20. Wrong part ... We like pics
  21. no just when i stripped the head off the o-rings were very tight on the H/D studs and big block so looked as if there was no oil route .. the rockers had a feed from the cam cover but thats marginal anyway as that gallery has an open hole in it anyway . its simple to block the feed to the cam cover for trial purposes and i was going to turn the pump slowly to start with.... curiosity and all that
  22. I,ve decided i'm going to spin the oil pump with a drill with the cam cover off when i get it back together to see what happens prior to fitting the frame
  23. beat me to it and its the offset that catches folk out when buying a single yoke as breakers just say there all the same mate
