Nice one: the last powder coater I used had a Henry Ford approach, although he does a good job if gloss black is required.

Just back from picking my wheels and heres bettablast black chrome sample. He also has a shadow chrome which he can vary the amount it “chromes” as its a 2nd solvent coat over a black.

Thanks, good to know and he is a bit closer than where my frame is at the moment.

I have to say that I much prefer that colour of frame. Goes much better with the cam cover colour.

Tank don't look bad aither in my eyes. IMG_20210216_170331.thumb.jpg.4e05f6955928641786b0cb5c0bda50f4.jpg

Got a little time tonight to fit the quick release adjustable Harris superbike yokes and gsxr 1000k5 forks. Couldn't resist fitting the front mudguard for a look see. IMG_20210217_152908.thumb.jpg.220e686dc4b4df71c1d28717f291906b.jpg IMG_20210217_154708.thumb.jpg.3772e0b3f3262bff02ce997bb1335e18.jpg IMG_20210217_154832.thumb.jpg.3dcf8a0378c17b2900bbafe514d4879a.jpg IMG_20210217_161700.thumb.jpg.bfdc4105086bb460eea70476054f9fe4.jpg IMG_20210217_163614.thumb.jpg.696d96c643e50cb96bb5234b900ba58e.jpg IMG_20210217_193018.thumb.jpg.0859b9765b73047e03931358145d4f75.jpg IMG_20210217_194415.thumb.jpg.31ceabb7b937a95a091e1f3f91be6be2.jpg IMG_20210217_194559.thumb.jpg.f789bcd11f96a76d9285854614daefd2.jpg IMG_20210217_195222.thumb.jpg.574a346667a87c81a3d921aaf41838f7.jpg

Made some little spacors for shoulder bolts to secure the fro t mudguard and cleaned up the bolts in the lathe. Have a choice of 3 sets of discs gsxr, galfer or brembo, fitted the brembo ones as they are in the best condition and are the largest. Calipers on with some 5mm spacors. IMG_20210218_133610.thumb.jpg.81e4c7e5968fa1bd4ce3f810d90c121b.jpg IMG_20210218_141531.thumb.jpg.8dc645b2eff1021b29695fde79d08bfa.jpg IMG_20210218_142506.thumb.jpg.664350b89111726722deb4605b78d3b6.jpg IMG_20210218_144007.thumb.jpg.661b390a7bfea9ce74d0bfb30ba307ba.jpg IMG_20210218_152603.thumb.jpg.504c43f2132023ab813bb9a6a0559de3.jpg IMG_20210218_152455.thumb.jpg.de4a5bc063baf9ebec70abd4f6757f6e.jpg

Have you tried button head flanged M6 stainless set screws for the front mudguard (use a 4mm allen key rather than a 5mm)? Not expensive and look the part.

Yes I don't like them as after removing and refitting them a few times they tend to round off.

Glad you like it as that must have been a hard decision to strip the bike down and get it re-coated. But it has been worth it, IMHO.

530 chain is quite close to the frame so have ordered 525 chain and 44 tooth back sprocket. Will wiz 1.68mm off the stepped 17 tooth 530 one to make it  into a 525. This gearing should give me a top speed of 196.8mph at 10000 revs which is more about loading the engine and turbo not so much about going that fast O.o :DIMG_20210219_142844.thumb.jpg.b2fed4b5e7d00f12ffaf8c9f4ccbc609.jpgIMG_20210219_161227.thumb.jpg.915097b0f55841d987a75e207c50c8f9.jpg
