clivegto Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 (edited) When they let us go to bike shows again hopefully might have this on the OSS stand. Also plan on hooning around on it in the summer months. Will also dyno it at John Warringtons. Not looking for mega power but I am aiming at 320hp. Edited November 8, 2020 by clivegto 1 Quote
Wagola Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Never really hankered over a turbo engined bike but having read a lot of the posts on here they seem to make sense now. In the early years it seemed like a lot of expense for something that would only last for a couple of drag strip runs, if you was lucky !! But now. INSPIRATION ....................lots of examples of reliable turbo bikes being used daily. Seriously thinking of a turbo on the Harris now. Quote

Done 2 summers now with my Turbo Scratcher, had it on 3 dynos, best was 260hp worst was 233hp did hit 200mph on this one though. Even taken it down the drag strip but the gearing is high & has short wheel base, handles really well on the road to the point it can beat most modern stuff. Turbo Magnum is mk2 Turbo Scratcher in my head lol. Edited November 8, 2020 by clivegto 1 Quote

I have a Mag 4 on a Q plate that shows Date of 1st registration as May 1993 on the V5. I don't run any indicators and have never been pulled on this at MOT time for not having indicators. Seems like its at the testers discretion, or how well you know/get on with the tester , OR whether the tester is fully aware of the intricacies of rules ? Minefield !! I was told that if indicators are fitted then they have to be working but this was many years ago and may not be valid advice now. Like i said, it will pass an MOT because tester manual tells them to treat as 1971/75, but it isnt legal as per construction and use, and lighting regs. 1 Quote
clivegto Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 (edited) Used a an10 pipe to breath from the oil catch tank straight out the back of the bike. Edited November 12, 2020 by clivegto 4 Quote
clivegto Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Fitted a little led light to the head lights/main oil cooler mount as a running (side) light. 5 Quote
clivegto Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Also fitted one to the undertray as a number plate light. 4 Quote

Wagola Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 I like the KOSO clocks/gauges , not cheap but fully inclusive kit. Quote

clivegto Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Even though the koso clock's come with a fitting bracket I still need to fit it to the bike along with the boost gauge. Started to make a fixing bracket out of 50x25mm aluminium box & a bit of steel flat bar. Still needs finishing off but am happy with it so far. 5 Quote
clivegto Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 (edited) So I drilled lost of holes in the box part of the bracket to match the other brackets. Put 2 m8 threads in the bottom to fasten it to existing brackets. Tided the boost gauge bracket up as well as the box. Trimed the bolts up in the lathe. Thinking of sticking a little Suzuki badge on the clock bracket. Edited November 16, 2020 by clivegto 8 Quote
clivegto Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Another little bracket to fit the malpassi fuel pressure regulator. Fits nicely inside the left of the seat unit. 2 Quote
Swirl Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 So the bottom pipe goes out the back Quote

Ted M Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Just had a look at the Koso clocks. They look to be good value with loads of features. The only thing they don’t do is make you a brew and light a fag for you. Quote
Gixer1460 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Fag ash only blows into your eyes @ 120mph - smoking is over rated LOL! 3 Quote

clivegto Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Mk2 bracket adapted into mk3 bracket, modified the regulator as well. Better still. 2 Quote
