It now has that wow factor for me when I look at it. So many things I would do differently with it if just starting the project. Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Was @Allspeedsyesterday really cool setup he has. New seal for the clutch slave cylinder. 3 Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Fitted it to the engine only to find as I suspected it might hit the chain due to the offset front sprocket. So I trimed a bit of material of the slave cylinder housing. Refitted the tin plate then bashed it with a ball hammer. Need to trim the back leg on the main case to stop the 17 tooth sprocket hitting it too. Work's a treat, chain don't touch now. Edited April 3, 2021 by clivegto 7 Quote Link to comment

wraith
Looks better each time anything above a 15T front sprocket you need to do that trim on the back bolt sleeve 1 Quote Link to comment

clivegto
Little update. The green taylor ht leads didn't look so good with the new frame colour so I got a set of black speed right build your own ht kit for £19.95. They fit the dyna mini coils better than the taylor one's. 6 Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Got a little stainless steel m10x1mm banjo bolt with a bleed nipple for the clutch slave cylinder as there is only a very small space between the boost pipe and the bleed nipple on top of the slave cylinder. I will simply remove the hole cover to bleed it through then replace the cover and remove any excess fluid from the new bleed nipple to get the slave sylinder in the correct position. . clivegto
Fitted the oil supply to the turbo using M16x1.5 to m10x1mm adaptor from the main oil gallery to the turbo using the the standard ihi vf22 banjo bolt with 0.8mm oil way at the turbo end. Used one of Richard's ( @gsxr884) black braided pipes for a b12 back brake for supply, taking it up and over above top crankcase a bit like a U bend this should stop oil draining from the engine to the turbo especially as the turbo feed is higher than the oil level. clivegto
Made a oil return pipe up from the turbo to the machacical scavang pump. Big pipe then into little pipe. Big pipe should work as a drain reservoir when the engine is turned off. This should stop smokey start ups. 3 Quote Link to comment

clivegto
Hoooraaaa I have a spark. Been putting doing the loom of for a while but today I made a proper start on it. Got myself some durite waterproof connectors & a durite crimping tool first go with it today was successful. Plan is to adapt a b12 mk2 loom. I moved the main fuse & fuse box into the back of the seat unit where its easily accessible and away from the fuel pump. Lots to do yet but it's a start. 9 Quote Link to comment
