Afternoon All,

I know it a w/c Bandit and its only a 400 but i'm quite proud of this, hopefully it'll be different enough to escape the chop

Started off as a ropey £300 nail of fleabay and ended up as below

Was my first roadbike, but i got rid of it, because I was bouncing off the limiter the entire time

yeah I had one of those, I cafe'd it then sold it to finance my 750 !

Great fun bike though and like what you've done with yours. Is it the Variable Valve version, thought I saw the grey cam cover in the original pic?

i was wondering about the frame, couldn't work out if it was missing originally but looks to be welded one end, looks good though as does the build.

Yeah just added the bottom rail in to make it a bit mag4 ish.

Its as close to a Harris as i'm likely to get but i'm pretty pleased with it

i nearly said ,what a waste of an ET back light   just because i need a good one ,,  no other reason .. i had one years ago  it had  clip ons ,rear sets full race  exhaust and slicks when it was uncrated , i found out why when i got it registered , it was the fastest 400 i ever rode at DnK ,when i worked there . it ended up with an RGV banana  arm and painted yellow ,, Suzuki definitely missed a trick  when they didnt give the 1200 a frame like that , i see you've extended the frame lower at the front ,looks good to my eyes tho . ive got one for spares if you need anything , the motor has been installed in a buggy  and im keeping the wheels , but forks and other shit are there .

I always liked the frame on the 400's. Just a pity Suzuki didn't make a bandit 1200 with this version of frame, tank and bodywork.

It was a great handling bike through bends, just could'nt keep up with my mates on the straights!

Whilst looking through other pictures I found a pic of my old 400 Bandit, nowhere near as nice as El gringo's, but it did me well!

Thanks, it was a great little bike! I made the flatter bars and the seat cowl myself, I wanted a cafe look without taking away the original lines.

Thanks Guys, i'm hoping I might actually get it MOT'd and ride it sometime this year.

I think it'll need a bit of setting up once it's on the road but i'm looking forward to it.
