Grey scotch bright then wax afterwards works for me. Can easily be redone as well but paint is cool as well shipmate . 2 of my alloy tanks.

Nice bit of lateral thinking and no need to add any welding on to the frame. Good solution.

So plan D, knocked up a little tie rod out of bits in the bin 

mill make shiny ones later

Had to hang fire on Brian, whilst I have a look for a rattle in a bloke i knows engine. i think it might be poorly

i worked with a vietnam guy back in the 80's (one of the boat people) and he used silver foil out of his fag packet to fix it !!!!!!!!!!   i kid you not   i told him we use new shells but he wouldn't have it.

I seem to remember the last one I did was 80 ish psi, then remembered it was minus 2 degrees when i did that one..

So i check my good engine in the Bandit, 38 psi.
