paddle
Hi I'm gradually stripping the early1200 bandit I acquired and it looks like alot of differences are not only cosmetic I removed the clutch cover and this clutch is not the same as my other bandit.would this be a early gsxr clutch assembly ?? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Gixer1460
AFAIK oily GSXR clutches are all 4 spring not 5! It does look peculiar though! Edited March 25, 2021 by Gixer1460 Quote Link to comment
no class
I think there was a conversion done on this site a while back....k5 gsxr 750 into oilcooled .... Quote Link to comment
paddle
Dont think its a gsxr 750 clutch look at the center bearing that's not on a k5 clutch Quote Link to comment
vizman
It would if you machined the centre out a bit Quote Link to comment
paddle
Agreed but it does not have the same casting marks as the k5 clutch Quote Link to comment

TonyGee
we know the bandit is a parts bin special and being the "unicorn pre production bike" they would of used whatever they could lay their hands on till the final setup was reached, thats my thinking Quote Link to comment

Search me - looks converted! 2 Quote Link to comment

With 'parts bin' loosely interpreted to consist of 'use the old oil cooled bits we have lying about and then make some more on the cheap by not having to go through the really expensive process of tooling up to make totally new bits.'
