paddle Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Hi I'm gradually stripping the early1200 bandit I acquired and it looks like alot of differences are not only cosmetic I removed the clutch cover and this clutch is not the same as my other bandit.would this be a early gsxr clutch assembly ?? Thanks Quote
Gixer1460 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 (edited) AFAIK oily GSXR clutches are all 4 spring not 5! It does look peculiar though! Edited March 25, 2021 by Gixer1460 Quote
no class Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 I think there was a conversion done on this site a while back....k5 gsxr 750 into oilcooled .... Quote
paddle Posted March 25, 2021 Author Posted March 25, 2021 Dont think its a gsxr 750 clutch look at the center bearing that's not on a k5 clutch Quote
vizman Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 It would if you machined the centre out a bit Quote
paddle Posted March 25, 2021 Author Posted March 25, 2021 Agreed but it does not have the same casting marks as the k5 clutch Quote
wraith Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 B12 basket with gsxr600 k4 hub etc like in my gsx1157et and @370steve have done, he.did it first Quote

Search me - looks converted! 2 Quote

With 'parts bin' loosely interpreted to consist of 'use the old oil cooled bits we have lying about and then make some more on the cheap by not having to go through the really expensive process of tooling up to make totally new bits.'
