oneviking Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Hello. I have a 91 GSX-1100-G. The valve stem on the rear wheel recently developed a leak. I tried to replace it with the wheel still attached, but ended up dropping the new valve stem inside the tire. What does it take to remove the wheel? What size sockets will I need? Thanks! Quote
vizman Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 And ideally you should pull the valve through the rim from the inside out, not push it in from the outside..... ....welcome to OSS.info RTFR BAFM RTFM 2 Quote

Dezza Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 For safety's sake, I think it may be good to take the machine to a trusted bike shop or get one of their staff to come and look at it for you seeing as it cannot be ridden at the moment 1 Quote

Don't the manual say something about tying a piece of cotton round the valve ? In case it falls into the tyre as in this case ?? Quote

Captn Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 Guys, every tool is a hammer, except a screwdriver, and that's also a chisel. This pic is appropriate. 4 Quote
