carb identification

right chaps need to identify these carbs and what the bits inside are eg; stock or dynojet carbs are fitted to what i am led to believe is an 1100m motor (not had cam cover off yet to check)

The ID bore would tend to suggest 36mm OD so not 1100M carbs which would be 40mm OD - but they could have been swapped as 40mm's are a PITA to tune easily. Looks like a DJ needle but its a while since I've seen one! DJ main jets are sized in steps of two - 132, 134, 136 etc and only fit DJ emulsion tubes - threads are different as I remember

Must be my eyes, inlet side looks like 34mm to me?

Which would suggest they're off a GSX1100F/G  but then again, they don't have a choke knob, but run a cable to the bars!

I hate vernier calipers - I was  using the end of the slide - not where the '0' was ! DOH! Long live Digital Calipers for Idiots - like me LOL!

Is that vernier reading 36.60?  Just testing to see if I need a digital vernier or do i still remember how to use one...

It reads 34.8 mm

Yes quite right it's reading 34.8 in picture but as Vernier is not been held square to bore I would say that measurement is wrong anyhow.

Thank you. The 36 was a lazy school boy error....I had it in my head because of a post in this thread. The point 8 however I got wrong, I can see why, I just thought it was lined up on the 0.6. 

So the good news is I remember how to read a vernier. The bad news is I'm capable of getting it wrong!!!

36mm gsxr 1100k me thinks .dynojet needle and dynojet emulsion tune DET002 ,get ya self some decent digital verniers you might gain .05mm lol

prone to ovaling out too

Don't look it, but easiest way to tell is if you have any size Mikuni jet & it won't screw in, then they're DJ

woohoo new emulsion tubes arrived today.........get them put in over christmas sometime
