  1. Thanks for reply captain I had k&n dual pods on a bandit 1200 in the past, but i fitted the gsxr dot head and cams at same time, so didnt know how much improvement he pods had on there own on a stock engine, i am leaning more towards the airbox, especially if theres not much difference between the 2 options
  2. Had similiar problem mysef once, the shafts for the throttle on the carbs had seized up a bit, couldnt tell until i took cable off, just another suggestion, all info suggested already is goid to get started on
  3. Hi lads Little advice/opinion needed, I am rebuilding a poject 1100n ive had a while, it will have a bandit 1200 engine in it, but its getting to the point of putting it all back together after powdercoat etc. I have sourced an airbox and i also have ram air socks, im undecided which way i want to go with it, pro's and cons of both set ups? It will get set up on dyno either way, will be a stock engine, (unless somebody donates 1216, haha) any gains with socks? am i right to think if i use the airbox it will need to be in frame before engine? Any advice appreciated
  4. Gonna be really nice when done, swinger looks just right

Guy I now has gsxr 600 stock could wired into his turbo gsxr 1100, in series like the pic, standard cdi etc, no issues with it, not sure about dyna etc tho
  6. Bandit airbox rubbers are round, gsxr are oval, both sets of carbs are oval, just a bit more fiddly getting the bandit round rubbers on
  7. will look into it, not very good with wiring but my mates quite good so I'll see if he can do something with it, cheers
  8. thanks captain, very helpful
  9. Cheers lads, I thought it would either be false. Or not work atall, thanks for replies, i just need to judge miles for fuel haha
  10. Hi lads i have a gsxr 1100 chassis etc that I'm building a bit of a bits a out of, bandit 12 engine loom etc to be fitted, I'm wondering if the 1100 tank with sender, will work on the 1200 loom for the fuel sender? Ie, did the 1100 have a gauge or a warning light? If it had a warning light only, wondering if I try to use 1200 wiring into it for the sender, will it read as normal gauge, or would it only show on gauge as 1/4 tank or so if the 1100 only had a warning light?

    bandit cams

used 750 dot head cams aswell, timed up to standard bandit 12 specs,
  18. Had a few bandits and I like them for the engine, once you sort out the suspension they can be good bikes to ride, got a slingshot project now, but using a 1200 engine, i liked bandits cod they were decent grunt for cheap money. Seems as tho there price are getting crazy for mk1 1200 tho
