  4. Hi lads wondering if anyone knows this piston code? J55A6, From what I can find online, which was very little on a gsxr forum, some people said they are wiseco and some said JE but I can't find the code with any manafucters online part search, They are 81mm so 1216 but unsure of make? Whats best way of giving them a little clean up? Cheers for any help
  5. It has a dot head on it aswell, goes very well, as I fitted it about 4-5 years ago, when I owned the bike,
  6. Cheers, yeah can see where your coming from with the mis match in the head, could maybe just have my own head worked on instead cheers
  7. Thanks for the replies, they are 1216, 81mm 10.5.1 JE Pistons, seems to be a couple of you lads running high comp on road, im no expert, thought that over 11 was getting into the risky end but seems like couple people have been running well over that, cheers
  8. Hi lads recently bought some low mileage 1216 pistons, which are 10.5.1, bandit 1200 motor is standard so far, could a dot head be used with Pistons at that comp? I've done a dot head swap on a standard motor before, but with the comp hike with a dot head, I wondered if it would work with the 10.5.1 Pistons? Or if it's too much comp and a lot of grief to make work? I don't know the figures etc increase with the dot head etc, thought I'd ask the question as some of the experienced guys on here will know if it's a no-go to start with cheers buddy
  9. Early Yamaha fazer 600, but has no reserve and is gravity feed so must be turned off when not in use
  10. Yeah just had a look, 1100n didn't see a tap for it, if it was only £50 for tap I would of bought at £25 repair kit , cheers
  11. Hi lads slingshot 1100 fuel tap is pissing fuel through the tap face, never used a repair kit and wondered if anyone has success with one sourced from a particular seller etc? Heard mixed reviews about if they even work Cheers

  16. Another question while were here, bandit 1200 engine and carbs using a slingshot airbox with k&n, start with standard slingshot jetting because of the airbox? Or is it likely to be more the bandit jetting? Ie, is the airbox design and size the factor,? Hope that makes sense Cheers
