  1. 1) Remove fuel tank, drain fuel into a Suzuki tank. 2) throw away the 97 blade.
  2. I just happen to know (as a former Suzuki mechanic) that the K6 is the next generation GSX-R, complete redesign so I doubt the engine fits in the K4. Anyway we don't really care as @Wee Mansaid.

  4. Situation has changed so there's a big chance I will come, with my 15 y.o. son. Looking forward to it.

  10. full stripdown is not needed. Remove engine, remove rocker cover and camshafts, turn engine upside down. Remove bottom crankcase half, remove crankshaft, swap camchain, rebuild in reverse order. No new headgasket needed, no base gasket, no fighting the piston rings on reassembly.
  11. remedy: take the monday off.
  12. and have a paper map under the seat for emergencies

  17. You should have read the rules. Especially number 9.
  18. Hi and welcome. Yes you can leave it unplugged. Or remove it completely from the carbs. Even if the bike is equipped with a TPS from the factory, unplugging it makes no noticeable difference in the running of the engine.
  19. I know that EZ/ED/EFE switches fit oilcooled motors, I had one on my B12 engine, connected to EFE clocks. I think 850 ones are the same size. Only needs a re-arrangement of the pins in the connector because the switch drum turns the other way round.
  20. early '90s Triumphs have same style wheels, but wider. And 17" front.
  21. http://gsx-r.tatsuwo.org/e/historyofsacs.html
  22. another option would have been Edinburgh but I don't even speak the language.
  23. Well, crap. Discussed this summers planning with the family and it appears that coming to the UK is not possible in August . @imagoand @davecarathanks for the offers.
