could your race hanger be for an 1100 maybe? The 750 Slingshot hanger has the mounting point some 10cm backwards.
On my 1100 the mounting point is 37cm from the swingarm spindle.
the 1400 was never sold in the USA so i might be a bit more difficult to find there.
I have a set of 1400 forks (without yokes)here, can post dimensions if needed.
this implies that the oil WILL run back into the sump when the engine is switched off, when the fittings are at the bottom.
This will not happen because of the reason 1460 mentioned.

don't waste money on an ignition advancer. Make your own.
Just slot the holes on the plate the pick-ups are amounted on, this gives you adjustable advance. One mm on the edge of the plate equals 1 degree.
