17". Just like the 1000E I had, also Dutch market. Only the S has an 18" rear wheel and not even on all markets. I'm sure @johnror @wraithwill be along soon to confirm.

GS1000 has 17" rear wheel, GS1000S has 18".

it's not just the rim size but also the tyre size that matters. GS1000 has 130/90-17 rear wheel IIRC, let's assume you now have a 180/55-17 in it. 90%*130 = 117mm 55%*180 = 99mm so there you have it. New tyre has an 18mm smaller radius.

Much better than a bland MT03 headlight.

I use one of these, never fail

After my carbs spent 8 months on a shelf i installed them, filled them with fuel and they started leaking. Next day i wanted to fix them but they didn't leak anymore. Apparently the dried out rubbers fixed themselves after being in contact with fuel. This was several years ago, been fine since.
