17". Just like the 1000E I had, also Dutch market.
Only the S has an 18" rear wheel and not even on all markets. I'm sure @johnror @wraithwill be along soon to confirm.
it's not just the rim size but also the tyre size that matters.
GS1000 has 130/90-17 rear wheel IIRC, let's assume you now have a 180/55-17 in it.
90%*130 = 117mm
55%*180 = 99mm
so there you have it. New tyre has an 18mm smaller radius.
it's not stupid, it's well organised. Ordnung muss sein. If you don't like the control freaks, emigrate, like I did (from Holland to Lithuania).
Now please keep it on topic or ze forum TUV will intervene.
ah yes MT03 and not 02. You're right, good headlight for not much money. But this build is something special and it deserves a special headlight.
How about some Dominator twin spots?
After my carbs spent 8 months on a shelf i installed them, filled them with fuel and they started leaking.
Next day i wanted to fix them but they didn't leak anymore. Apparently the dried out rubbers fixed themselves after being in contact with fuel.
This was several years ago, been fine since.
