  1. Yeah, I think they are Clive. I'm sure I've used 1100 mounts in a 750. Only difference would be the diameter of engine bolt on the back mounting plate.
  2. What causes this? I can't see what's out. I've pulled it apart then refitted everything as per manual. I assume they're supposed to be a closer fit than this... any suggestions?

  4. In the normal B12 ignition switch, it's switched to ground in the "on" position. What you do is up to you, permanently grounded (I did this) or switched via a concealed switch as a backup anti-hotwiring measure.
  5. The neutral switch you're thinking of is the three wire jobbie that B12s use to (allegedly) retard the ignition in first and second. They connect to the red/black and green/blue on the CDI normally.(@vizman's favourite topic, the "wheelie wire"...) Just disregard them, I did and had no issues.
  6. Ignore the wiring colours, they're just what I used. The block of 8 pins, bottom row, far left. Needs to go to earth/chassis/negative whatever via a 100 ohm resistor.
  7. No spark probably be down to the lack of a 100ohm resistor. I'll try and find a diagram of where it goes. ..

  13. Very special thanks to @Paulm for a superhuman boozing session until about seven AM in the morning. Truly outstanding and an inspiration to us all.
  14. Booking the stand and asking people to bring their bikes along is one thing... But for people to take the time out and drive/ride there, put their bikes on the stand and be willing to spread the Oldskool lurve to the public, that's what makes the event. Thanks are due to everyone that came and participated.

  16. From where? Top end? They're not very quiet motors, in my experience. Depends where it's coming from. More information needed.

  20. They need replacing with hard nylon bushes ideally, but they keep the MOT man happy.
  21. Mine are on the headstock, but set far back, on the sides, if you see what I mean..? I'll get a pic.
  22. 1200 lump in 7 frame here, too. It's a slabby frame, isn't it? I know one of the slingy 750 frames is tight, never had any issues with the slab.
